Added on August 13, 2010, 12:51 pmsame as me...but dun wry, just unplug the cable and then do recovery and it wil recover the newest version!cheers! Actually M3 only sells the original. So even if you wanna trial, you pay first. Try later. Not satisfied get refund, during trial period, you press trial. So maybe someone uploaded the apk with the intention on infecting users?

Hey wanna ask since I rooted the phone and backup with Titanium. Should I back up everything from my phone (messages\contacts\songs) from the internal rom to pc as well?
Would the flash wipe out everything in the internal Memory?
Thanks again.

Titanium will backup the whole thing, don't worry but you can backup to pc for safety flash firmware will not wipe out the internal memory Added on August 13, 2010, 1:02 pmhttp://photojojo.com/store/awesomeness/cell-phone-lenses/ anyone knows where to buy this? Flashed the firmware with Odin, the phone restart and prompted me to recovery thingie, is this normal?
And if I choose reboot? The phone would just restart and Prompted to Galaxy S start up but wouldn't go further.

It's a disclaimer. else some people will go "But you said nothing will happen one?!!" Rooting = admin access. For one, you can start to delete off those unnecessary apps that come preloaded. I already deleted daily briefing, buddies, whatever clocks that came with it. Hi, have anyone tested their SGS with the TV-out cable? Just want to share my experience... I bought the cable from ebay.. you can use the Nokia TV-out cable too as they are the same...
Once you connect the cable from your phone to the TV, enable the TV out in the menu->settings.... walla.. you will see high def display on your TV-screen... I am using Launcher Pro and when I tilt my screen the TV will show the exact image as I am seeing on the phone.. I played YouTube and some movies uploaded to the phone on to the TV.. fantastic resolution.... you guys should try it out.. especially using YouTube... will try asphalt 5 tonight...
Ok, just sharing.. I have recently upgraded my SGS FW to JG5 via Kies.... don't want to root nor flash via Odin yet until I get the official Froyo FW release... I will just bear with the intermittent lags.... I used MyBackup to backup my stuff.. but the restore process was quite tedious.. I wonder if titanium backup restore process is easier...? anyway.. cheers everyone... you guys are doing a great job in sharing in this community... SGS foreva!

Finally able to flash back my phone.
However Kies wouldn't load up and I've extract all my contacts and messages there.
Any other 3rd part software that's able to restore my contacts etc etc?
Stupid Kies
Thanks all.

next time save your contacts as Google Contacts, everything is save in Cloud, so doesn't matter how many times u flash your phone, the contacts will still be there, instant sync.

Are those separate apps that need to be installed on the phone or pc? Sorry noob question, I hope I didn't annoy you all. First time smartphone user here.
