I faced the same problem a few days ago. Then I deleted the app and went to Market  and download it again. Solve the problem. ;-)

Sigh, i also got the same problem with Vlingo.

I downloaded Vlingo from Samsung Apps, then when I wanted to use it, it asked for activation code....so I uninstalled it and try to download and reinstall again...

Unfortunately, i can't reinstall again from Samsung apps...it says Application failed to install no matter how many times I tried. Switch off phone and on again, also cannot.

Then I went to Market to search for Vlingo and when I try to download and install, I got an Installation Error message saying "Insufficient storage available"...how can that be? I still have more than 13GB of Internal SD card space and more than 14GB space on my External MicroSD card...

Anyone can help me?

Thanks

I have the same problem. The ringtones appear in the folder for my music player.
If I create a .nomedia for the ringtones, they disappear from the folder for the music player. But the phone can't find the ringtones. How do you solve this?
*
i don't have any solution to that, sorry sad.gif
only thing i can think of is making a playlist excluding all of those unwanted files.

That's strange.
When I first faced the problem of activation code, I uninstalled it.
But when I went to Samsung app to look for it, I couldn't find it there anymore.
Then I looked for it in the Market and found it there. Downloaded it from the Market and now it works a charm.
Also I can now find it in Samsung app again.

Yeah, it's weird...that is why I'm puzzled. It's still in my Samsung Apps but I couldn't download and install it....not sure what is the problem...
When I click on the Vlingo to download and install I get an error message saying "Application Not Installed".

The weirdest part is that I can't even download and install from the Market?

Could it be some conflict with any software? I recently downloaded Handscent SMS and using My Buddies Samsung widget...

I tried your method and it indeed speed/smoothen things up. There's another apps called "autokiller" which does the same thing + more features an it can also save and reboot custom setting. Thanks for posting this! thumbup.gif

I am waiting for 16GB and 32GB to drop under RM100, then i'll consider buying tongue.gif
So far, i havent really use much of the internal 16GB memory. biggrin.gif

You're welcome.

I too have an 8GB MicroSD, but I haven't even got around to installing it cause my internal 16gb is almost unused.

Hi All,
Just managed to fix the samsung kies installation on my win 7  and when i hooked up my galaxy to the PC, its stated that there is an update for the device, is that the Froyo updates for the device ?
*
it's probably update to JG4?
OR try it and tell us so we'd all be envious.

Side note: V4 may be needed soon.

ohmlawx, do you have root access?

If the MTP application is up, it doesn't mean it's connected to kies.
Do you see the screen doing anything weird? Like flickering to and from MTP and home screen?

It'll be good if you can inform your version of kies as well.
If possible, update to latest kies version.

problematic file extensions not recognised by kies.
Check your internal SD card for any cache folders having weird extensions in the files inside.
If so, delete the whole folder.

It moves from MTP screen to home or the previous screen repeatedly.

MTP -> home -> MTP -> home
and keeps cycling through these 2 screens.

Upgraded to latest OCLF yesterday. My Quadrant benchmark is 2148, not much diff than 2151 which I got last week.

Am on I9000UGJH2 with OCLF 1.6.5 (rooted with lagfix enabled). This has been the most stable firmware I've used, even though the Canadian firmware changed my phone from GT-I9000 to GT-I9000M.

Stock ROM was JF4. Have tried JG1, JG4, JG8, JM5, JP3 and JH1 so far.
