Hi, have anyone tested their SGS with the TV-out cable? Just want to share my experience... I bought the cable from ebay.. you can use the Nokia TV-out cable too as they are the same...

Once you connect the cable from your phone to the TV, enable the TV out in the menu->settings.... walla.. you will see high def display on your TV-screen... I am using Launcher Pro and when I tilt my screen the TV will show the exact image as I am seeing on the phone.. I played YouTube and some movies uploaded to the phone on to the TV.. fantastic resolution.... you guys should try it out.. especially using YouTube... will try asphalt 5 tonight...

Ok, just sharing.. I have recently upgraded my SGS FW to JG5 via Kies.... don't want to root nor flash via Odin yet until I get the official Froyo FW release... I will just bear with the intermittent lags.... I used MyBackup to backup my stuff.. but the restore process was quite tedious.. I wonder if titanium backup restore process is easier...? anyway.. cheers everyone... you guys are doing a great job in sharing in this community... SGS foreva!

I suspect your friend is using the sim card for data only and not for voice... hence you can make calls not receive calls but can sms and surf the internet... find out more details...

Hi, I have used this and it works brilliantly... I used it on my 29" Flat Screen TV... and it looks good.. I do not have an LCD TV yet but I have seen it in Youtube someone connected their SGS to it and it was also brilliantly sharp. I played YouTube HQ and it looks like watching Astro quality... also played games like Asphalt 5.. nice....

You can search for these cables on ebay... I bought mine in Ebay.. should cost between RM25 to RM40 including postage... you can also try to get Nokia's TV-out cable as they are compatible too... someone in mudah.my was selling his at RM20... I tested this smasung TV-out cable with my wife's Nokia 5800 and it works too... so... it's nice to have and play around with it.

Added on August 23, 2010, 6:31 pmHi rizal77, if I understand your issue correctly, you have defaulted another launcher and would like to get back to tw launcher? if this is the case, just download the free app 'home switcher' it's very useful to switch between or set default for the launcher of your choice.

oh, TW launcher is built into the firmware... there's no widget to it... sifuus correct me if I am wrong...

hi turion.... what you should do is create a folder called 'Ringtones' at the root and then copy your mp3 files to that folder.. Then only you will see it appear on your selection list for ringtones. Cheers...
