QUOTE(- JaY - @ Aug 12 2010, 01:57 PM) anyone of u here using QuickSettings? i find it hard to toggle the APN, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. and btw any WLAN issues u guys experiencing? my friend's Desire can connect to the WLAN, but mine couldnt. if you check the network status, it will say connecting instead of disconnected after toggling APN, so it doesn't mean APN not working, just it takes time to connect or it is maxis problem

I not quite agree with spetre, fr consumer point of view the phone should be problem free when it out fr the factory why we need to do extra thing to fix the glitch of the phone?

The current method is actually rename the apn to make the phone fail to connect to data that's why the apn on off is not stable

Added on August 12, 2010, 8:46 pmFrankgan - The keyboard can be downloaded via market - Google IME Download that, then go to settings and add it to your input method, after that, when you go to a textbox and want to type in mandarin, long press the textbox and change input method to google IME. JG8 seems to have fixed the data connection problem. I have no issues going on data mode after a long period without it.
Added on August 13, 2010, 3:45 ambtw, google chrome is available to download via market for froyo users. Come on sammy, give us 2.2 so we can have a delicious browser for use.

To flash other region ROM or customized one, you need to use Odin. You can get the step for Odin on first page. QUOTE(renxu @ Aug 13 2010, 05:23 AM) thanx bro..but many opinion told dat sgs always lag..but i think sgs more cun..aiseh.. rite. The stock firmware is lagging, but getting better from version to version. Plus the fix is already around. I just applied the fix last night and it's good. But if want to play 3D game, SGS is much faster than Desire. One more think I love about desire is the screen size. It is big. No need to scroll left and right while browsing.

I used all the HTC android phone, they have an option to off mobile network in settings or just hold your power button, there's an option there. But not the case for SGS
