hi guys, am planning to flash my sgs for the first time, I need chinese input ocassionally, so only asian firmware contains chinese input or any firmware is equipped with chinese input? Please help Added on August 11, 2010, 10:41pmCan I get Asian language support in the European firmwares?» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « There is (as of now) no way to reintegrate Asian language support in the European firmwares. The possibility may exist in the future, however, there are currently no devs working on it. There is of course always the possibility to flash back to an Asian firmware. Note that this means that you cannot set the interface to Asian languages (except Korean). You can still receive and send text messages in chinese/japanes etc (you will only need a new keyboard that supports inputting characters) I dont exactly get what it means by i need a new keyboard, Mean I will have to download a new keyboard? or is it available in the setting already? QUOTE(MYstombox @ Aug 12 2010, 08:41 PM) Dude, scroll down. Take some initiative to explore your phone maybe? Added on August 12, 2010, 8:46 pmFrankgan - The keyboard can be downloaded via market - Google IME Download that, then go to settings and add it to your input method, after that, when you go to a textbox and want to type in mandarin, long press the textbox and change input method to google IME.
