JP3 CAN BE ROOT, it just not straight foward, like putting update.zip or one-click, you can also download paul-modaco JP3 firmware, it already pre-root

i dunno how or when but i have my message terkeluar laaa

not yet root.. so far i havent got any problem with my JPC.. the rom is not the fastest, but at least after 1 and half day of using it, still no sign of stalling (black screen) issues.
my GPS works as good as other roms. the signal can lock right after the maps appear, which is roughly less than 5 secs.. and accurate as well..
we're on the same boat mate..hmm maybe we are just lucky ? i can say the GPS is normal and as good as other android that i've (or had)

i download and use Papago X5 for android.... u can dl the program from market but u have to download the map from the web site.......

- never had any problems like u mentioned before....

if you cold start your gps it usually take some time to detect the satelitte, just let it on for 10 minutes or so, then you wll get on average 6 to 8 sattelite lock.
