Update: Thanks to tokeybudu & kenneth686 for the H firmware version.

So far running great without DC compared to previous F version (mainly use within LAN environment with 24 port switches).

Because can be a hotspot sever & bandwidth limit.

Thank you. tongue.gif

Hi, I'm quite a noob in networking, but I want to ask the sifus here for help. I'm currently having a slow connection on unifi due to multiple obstacles (walls mainly) between my PC and the unifi d-link router. I'm thinking of going the route of buying the n13u to be as a wifi repeater, but am unsure of its compatibility and difficulty of setting it up. How would it work actually? As I understand, the n13u can be setup to receive wifi signal from the unifi router and then re-transmit it, but is that advisable? does it produce lag if I'm online gaming, in say ME3? Current position of the unifi router is at ground floor front of the house, while my PC is at second floor near the back of the house. Please do advise.

You can use that as repeater. Its very easy. Just adjust a sliding button on the router, and its done. If you don't have firmware problem like others this unit can be very effective to deploy wireless solution for home.

RT-N13U really sucks.

Didn't really search online for reviews before I bought it yesterday. Came with stock 2.0.2.0 and I pandai pandai upgrade to 2.0.2.5G. Disconnected after a 4 hours. Then flash to 2.0.2.5H. Was ok for a while and then disconnected again.

Now back to 2.0.2.0 for about 3 hours. So called 24/7 BT stalled at 473 MB / 8.6GB. Internet / IPTV still ok.

Main reason for buying is the 24/7 BT so that I don't have to leave my computer on. It's completely useless.

I wonder if Harvey Norman gives refunds.

Really regret.

If you want to download and seed BT without switching on your computer I suggest you flash DD-WRT and use Transmission. http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Asus_RT-N13U

If you use unifi and need IPTV you can also bridge with TM default router.

just bought a N66u today at 11am (first time replaced DIR default modem by TM after 1yr + using)

setup successful by 3pm after two hours up including calling Unifi for PPPoE (forgotten), testing out IPTV (lan4), trying out 5.0ghz.

happy user now this rather solid router is serving two semi-dees (three storey) without signal issue smile.gif

my DIR-615 wifi signal not stable. using wifi card dlink dwa-547 rangebooster with 3 x 2dbM ori antenna gets me 30% - 45% signal strength. i later replaced with 3 x 8dM omni directional antenna.

i can get 100% wifi reception. but upon monitoring the source DIR-615 seem to fluctuate between 80% to 90% most times. but at times 96%. i m living in double storey.

which router can give solution. i can swap back the ori antenna to my wifi card.
