Hye SilentVampire

My router on DDWRT , in this case, i should revert to original firmware right? Can you guide me where can i get latest firmware of this model? Just extra pre caution if I flashed wrong version that i found in the net.

Thanks again Sir

Ah bro, yes, you have to revert to original firmware, unless you use a switch that can support VLAN tagging, something like this: https://www.blacktubi.com/guide/make-any-ro...-work-on-unifi/

See here for the latest firmware: https://www.asus.com/my/Networking/RTN16/HelpDesk_Download/

But, if I were you, I ours get a newer model bro, as this is only N, and it is quite old already. I would recommend the Asus RT-AC1300UHP. It is cheaper as there is no GST now, and it is the best time to buy it now.

The RT-N66U replaces the RT-N56U completely. However, I noticed that if I use the original name, there's an exclamation mark next to the DDNS: *****.asuscomm.com (!) on the Network Map page. If I use the new name, there's no exclamation mark.

I'm on Unifi, so of course the IP changes, so how am I going to get back the original name? Is there a timeout or expiry for the ddns service?

Does anyone has the the problem with the DDNS? It caused the AICloud is not be able to use at all?
I think the problem is in the DDNS updater, it captures a wrong Public IP, because I can see my home Public IP on the whatismyip.com
when I was using the nslookup in the Asus Router to check what is the IP that my ddns name is having, it shows me a different result, which is different than the whatismyip.com
anybody facing this problem?
