Looks like the Asus RT-N13U that I bought is the Rev. B1. No support for DD-WRT yet, so if anyone want to buy and have DD-WRT support make sure its not Rev. B1.

QUOTE(asc825 @ Oct 15 2010, 05:58 PM) old firmware only can access USB storage by using FTP server , but 2.0.0.2 ver can share around WORKGROUP ..... I'm owner of RT-N13U Rev B1, I also have problems with the USB storage, it worked once long time ago then can no longer work, then I gave up! Well after reading your issue, I've upgraded to firmware 2.0.1.1, now I cannot even set up using the "Aidisk"! It states that "You have not plugged any USB disk or have removed it. Please plug it and use the wizard again." What firmware you are using and what is your current issue, maybe when I got time I can try something.few days ago still can c it from Network place but now gone alre i think can support HTTP download cos i can c HTTP, FTP, and BT option from asus download master but jz cannot connect to router .. dunno y any owner here ??? |

QUOTE(MX510 @ Jun 8 2011, 08:09 AM) Nah, Unifi currently still no limit. I was asking if you can seed using download master. I have 2 choice now: 1. D-Link 615 - bridge with Asus RT-N13U B1 with DD-WRT - use transmission to seed torrent. Pro : Can seed without switching on computer. Con : Have to use D-Link ie 1 additional stuff to plug in. 2. Asus RT-N13U B1 with beta firmware. ( no need D-Link 615 anymore) - currently I see download master can only download (not seed), so if I need to seed I need to seed in the PC. If it can, that that will be the best. Well probably the best is when DD-WRT can do the Vlan tagging for Unifi properly... |

QUOTE(klseet @ Jun 8 2011, 12:54 PM) Yes, it can support vlan.500 (internet only) Great! Hope it will be able to tag for IPTV as well soon. http://klseet.com/index.php?option=com_con...id=81&Itemid=77 Added on June 8, 2011, 4:32 pm And maybe you can convince the Asus engineer to put in transmission to the stockfirmware too. IIRC it took few minutes, you just have to wait a bit. Which method do you use? Webgui?

QUOTE(klseet @ Oct 15 2011, 01:14 AM) @vergas Cool!! I'm looking forward to that! I have to admit that the current DownloadManager is a bit cacat, not really a P2P client.... I did mention/suggest/request to ASUS team, they are aware of this, their engineer are revamping the whole DM, will look something like this: Anyway, does anyone know what this means (I'm on RT-13U) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Something not right on the porforward? Can anyone share their settings. Last time ok, but I've reset to default to update firmware, forget the portforward.. Added on October 15, 2011, 6:55 pm QUOTE(raist86 @ Sep 22 2011, 12:55 AM) Same here. using firmware 8.22.2.3 from KLSEET website for unifi configuration. The router will hang after one day running.. have to keep rebooting it to get it working. QUOTE(soonsian @ Sep 24 2011, 01:08 AM) I bought my Asus N13u two weeks back and started using it replacing the DLink 615 from TM for Unifi. I have also experiencing the router has to be power off and on after one or two days. When it hang, I can not access to the admin console to check what is wrong. But I can see my PC network link is not getting an IP address when it hang. QUOTE(yaya1899 @ Oct 11 2011, 12:05 PM) Hmm, just experience the same problem for 3 times yesterday. I have tried to flush the firmware for 3 times and still experience the same problem. Seems like many peoples are having this problem. Did anyone manage to solve the problem? @seet,Sigh, have to use back the DIR-615 temporary, as least got no such problem. Ok, I can now confirm that I also having similar problems. The router will hang after few days. It normally occur even without heavy downloading as normally I just seed some stuff. Really strange as it can maybe heavy download to the max for five hours, then leave it for few days without heavy downloading then it hangs. Confirm that it happens in the last two firmware ie Sept 28 and Aug 23. I plan to downgrade to older firmware and see what happens. IIRC no problem with the first Unifi firmware. But it will take few days to find out since it only normally hangs after few days... This post has been edited by vergas: Oct 15 2011, 06:55 PM |

QUOTE(klseet @ Oct 22 2011, 11:22 AM) RT-N13U-B1 users Great to hear. I've downgrade to older firmware the RT-N13U.RB_2.0.2.0_0531w, now close to 5 days without hang.Ok, I tried few rounds and I managed to get a "hang" Mostly I use PC wired for torrenting, after going through those emails complaints, I noticed some common hang situation on torrenting through wifi. So I tested torrenting on an old laptop (with LinuxMint) wirelessly, day 1 was ok, but day 2 it hang, IPTV also won't work, LED still lights-on when insert cat cable, but router inaccessible even on wired. I'm not technical engineer, not really sure what went wrong, looks the WAN interface could be broken when torrent intensively through wifi, something goes wrong between WAN-->wifi interfaces on heavy traffic. Since I can't get any System Log, I've explained the situation to ASUS team, still waiting for response, hopefully they can simulate the hang and perhaps another fix Will update further once I get reply. |

QUOTE(klseet @ Oct 23 2011, 01:11 PM) Did you try torrenting over wifi with the older firmware? Yes I did. No problem at all. Full speed. QUOTE(yaya1899 @ Oct 24 2011, 03:23 PM) Thanks for the update. You might want to change to older firmware then. For my case, i used my desktop for Direct Download (MU, FS and etc.). Perhaps the transfer is too heavy and the router can't handle? Added on October 27, 2011, 11:26 amMore than 9 days with RT-N13U.RB_2.0.2.0_0531w and no hang....
