hi, i'm interested to subscribe to unifi or upgrade to 4mb stramyx,  as i'm a streamyx 1mb customer

But i'm put off by 60gb capping as it seems too low..

well i support the initiative to cap if its means to stop uncontrolled downloading but 60gb cap pmothn is too low..

anyone care to advice wether i supgrade to 4mb streamyx or  unifi

any onw here care to advise wether i shuld terminate scramy
*

if you are a Heavy downloader just stick to Streamyx 4mbps then paired up with a VPN service.

Anyone know if I have to setup my voip? Whenever I make a call there would be loud beeping sound in the background :S
*
Loud beeping? Do you manage to make a call at all? Anyway, I sent them email this morning and it seems that they've fixed mine. I could make a callout now. If that beeping means double beep tone, than, your voip might be down, you may want to call or email them to get it fix.

The Panny DECT phone they provided me with must be faulty as I have noticed EVERYDAY, the time and date settings seem to go off doh.gif

Planning to replace it with a KX-TG6512B DECT 6.0+. However, don't think this is available yet in MY. Will likely look for it the next time I'm down in SG

It's definitely a better piece of equipment compared to the DIR 615 but based on past experience with products under the same brand, I would prefer other alternatives.

TM should actually allow users a choice to "buy" better products as an alternative to what they are currently dishing out. I'm sure alot of us won't mind paying a one time additional charge for optional upgrades

DIR 825 has only 8MB Flash memory vs WZR-HP-G300NH has 32MB.

BTW, which criteria is more important processor speed or flash memory? Base on my understanding, large flash memory is important for future DD-WRT firmware upgrade.
*
It depends on how many features you want with dd-wrt. 4MB is already enough for the dd-wrt build with a pptp server + ssh daemon + other features. In terms of router performance, CPU speed + RAM make a difference. Flash memory doesn't do anything except hold the firmware :3

BTW, are the BIZ account provide the D-link DIR-825 and VIP account provide the D-link DIR-615?

They did the same where I live over a weekend during which we signed up. It took them more than a month before I finally got the installation. Maybe it was because we specifically requested that the installation be on a saturday?

Please correct me if I am wrong. I thought if you can sign up, does it means UNIFI is ready at your area? I saw white TM box mounted on overhead pole with fibre optic cables loop in/out from TM white box.

If they allow you to sign up, it should mean your area is ready for unifi. To verify, they will ask for your existing phone number for confirmation of this
