QUOTE(8tvt @ Sep 27 2010, 06:53 PM) I just want to know what are those extra features that 6000 series going to offer.... Fusion tech? more improvement on eyefinity? Those are the things that I much likely needed to know. Performance benchmark, very sure is better than current 5000 series. O ya, price is also another thing I wan to know. Who knows maybe 6770 price at 1k. If 6770 price at 1k, then 6800 version will be either RM1400 or RM1800. That time I will be most happy as 5870 user. XD |

QUOTE(SkYY @ Sep 26 2010, 11:41 PM) but at least it is adequate for sc2 and some old games(medieval 2:total war, empire:total war, warhammer 40k 2)which is the primary reason for new GPU xP You can finish SC2 single player campaign at 1920x1200 on the HD 5670. As for M2TW, I normally play it at 1280x800. The performance can really hurt when the battlefield is in a forest.wait, it is adequate right? for like medium settings on 19"? |

Why do people keep saying wait for Northern Island? I thought AMD already clearly stated that this coming 6000 series will be the Northern Island (as opposed to many people who have thought that it's Southern Island)?

i think the 6870 will be having performance between 5870 and 5970.
It'll be just like in the past, the 4870X2 perform better than 5870, but slower than 5970. |

Which will coincide with ATI releasing their 28nm HD 7000 series in the second half of 2011 as well.according to rumor nvidia nextgen is 28nm already im afraid i keep wait till penang island come out liao also 40nm then pengsan ed Unless Nvidia has a surprise in store in the coming months or the HD 6000 series has some serious fault, I think it is safe to say that Nvidia is boned yet again for the third time running (HD 4000, HD 5000 and now the upcoming HD 6000). |
