most manufacturers have moved to 16:9 as it is cheaper to produce it that way.why not get a LCD TV instead? It'll be 1920x1080 but it's larger than 27"

lcd tv? u must missed out my sig.. already own the 40".. yes it's look great on big Full HD..

just surveying for desktop.. 30" is too big and the reso also most single card cannot handle while gaming..
1920x1080 is ok.. but still no much option for 27".. hmm.gif

i've been searching what make my room so hot...i place my pc far from me also same...so, the heat come from monitor after all... sweat.gif

i seriously doubt this~ a whole computer should be generating at least twice the heat of a monitor, which is often off anyway~

Of course strong, 2209WA has 6 CCFL lamps instead of 4 compared to others if I am not mistaken, thus higher power consumption and brighter white. But brightness above 80% is unbearable in my room condition, too bright. I am at 30% brightness, no heat issue.
