Yes, provided that you have a recent dedicated/intergrated graphics card.

If you run the same resolution, then really it doesn't matter. I mean it wouldn't even affect the performance right?

Hey guys, the U2311H is only RM649 at Dell website now, got additional RM60 cash voucher !

Also I spotted P2311H at RM669, featuring LED and TN panel, so which should I get?

U2311H - IPS, normal backlight or
P2311H - TN, LED backlight

For the U2311H, I tried using Dell's live chat to ask for a better price - but the salesperson said it's nett price quoted on the net tongue.gif

Gavin is on leave till tomm, so i'll try emailing him as per previous post...

What's his email? tongue.gif

Maybe we can tell Gavin that we buy in bulk, get some potential buyers buy together lol

649 + 5 years tongue.gif

HAHA, I called Gavin and he said "I know alot of customers are getting recommendation from their friends (must be the person above who got at 599) and want to speak to me to get the 599 price but unfortunately I could not do that anymore because this has now become a hit model, but what I can do now is to give you 5 years warranty at RM649 but I will try to give you a better price in the quotation"

He said he could give the discount a week ago but now it's a 'hit' model

But response time for U2311 is 8ms, its not effect to gaming ?
response time for BX2350 is 2ms.........
*
If you read some review, they said that the IPS panel has some overclock built in so 8ms is not as slow as it is. And also 8ms is good enough, you won't notice much blurring.

ohh! bcos its difference panel ....
so U2311 also good for gaming right ?
*
TN panel is known to produce fast response time, 2ms - 5ms but IPS panel is known for superior colour reproduction, at the expense of 'slow' response time which is 8ms for U2311H, but still acceptable man.

Oh ya, please don't put too high hope on U2311H because it's sort of a 'low end' IPS panel, it cannot show as many colours as other high end IPS panels but hey, compare that to TN panel and you shall have nothing else to say tongue.gif

ioch! low end IPS panel..........
so, which is my best choice..... U2311-RM645 and BS2350-RM775

i stay in JOHOR small town and i cant get the real thing to make compare in front of my eye....... that is my problem sad.gif

pls, give me some good suggestion.
*
Well, if you speak to Gavin, you can get 649 with 5 years warranty, which might be a good deal, either way even the 'low end' IPS panel colour reproduction is superb compared to any TN panel, and the difference it outright noticeable, unlike 5ms and 8ms biggrin.gif

Does it make sense for the ETA to be so long? I mean it has already 'arrived at local hub'

It is just a rough estimate and not something you can depend on. There are still many variables remaining that can affect the delivery time. For instance, due to unknown circumstances, my monitor arrived three days early and Dell thought it was still "In Transit".
*
The thing is earlier on it was estimated at 20th September, then once it reaches 'local hub', they estimated it to be 4th October, stockout doesn't make sense because the unit is 'assembled' already LOL.

But ya, I shall wait.

Ya, but the status already cleared pass the manufacturing build and ship from factory, that's why I'm puzzled
