found that when i lowered U2410 sharpness from 50 to 40, the black level gets better (more dark) with minor loss of detail (a bit blur, but good for low megapixel video clip)
sun=10, moon =35 on adobeRgb mode |

QUOTE(moonsault @ Sep 9 2010, 05:26 AM) iF23, very wide view angle but the menu button style (and built) is inferior no time to kacau the shop display set for other test QUOTE(ericpires @ Sep 9 2010, 10:40 AM) 1 thing the 2209wa lack is the 1:1 bit mapping and its reso is only 1680x1050. Other than that its pretty good. Does the 1:1 bit mapping really matter in games and movies? my dad appreciate the 1680x1050 on 22" becos everything is bigger (rabun mata) he say those 1080 on 22", he need a magnifier to see the text clearly, drop the resolution become more QUOTE(Kerry1136 @ Sep 12 2010, 09:33 AM) Whats the diff between IPS, TN panels does it have a huge difference in gaming? Plus the WLED and LED has diff too? TN is the best for gaming. nothing can beat their response time, contrast level is not bad too. in LCD world, there are more than IPS and TN, LED or not. but the more u search. the more u hard to decide because of budget & availability here. |

QUOTE(KTCY @ Sep 17 2010, 02:19 PM) Guys, need opinion here. Will you choose U2311H (RM650 with 5 years warranty) or U2410 (RM 880 with 1 weeks warranty) ? My main purpose is on design and photoshop. U2410 will give u more working space, nice price too. hope u won't get green/red screen QUOTE(yimingwuzere @ Sep 17 2010, 02:24 PM) old news, but LG & Apple got QUOTE(DarkNite @ Sep 17 2010, 05:01 PM) samsung never make IPS monitor, samsung got own technology called PVA which can fight directly with IPS PVA panel can give u v.e.r.y. deep black level my eye is more comfortable when looking at old HP with PVA panel than U2410 (dark room) U2410 is very bright even u put minimum level (and the contrast sux too) |

Q What pixel defects are covered?
A Dell’s Premium Panel Guarantee applies to UltraSharp, Professional and Alienware monitors with bright pixel defects only. The Premium Panel Guarantee does not cover monitors with dark/ black type of dead pixels. dell say one |

QUOTE(xEDynamics @ Oct 1 2010, 09:32 PM) i think it same for all dell IPS panel monitor ??? coz need accurate color, so need extra power and produce heat??? strong backlight. u try 100% brightness on white screen QUOTE(ojay @ Oct 1 2010, 10:03 PM) if it supposed to be like then i dun worry leh..but heat also supposed to be hardware killer too... 2209, 2410, 3008 all hot. others i never experience QUOTE(sexualpower @ Oct 2 2010, 01:43 AM) i seriously doubt this~ a whole computer should be generating at least twice the heat of a monitor, which is often off anyway~ wait until u got a 30" heater in front of ur face |
