For the U2311H, I tried using Dell's live chat to ask for a better price - but the salesperson said it's nett price quoted on the net

QUOTE(CallOfLegend @ Sep 20 2010, 10:10 PM) lol same date of purchase as yours. My ETA is 4th Oct. I got the quote and paid immediately thru bank transfer, but got my order confirmation yesterday. Not gonna bother about it, as long as it arrives i guess! This is more like impulse purchase, nice monitor, decent review and cheap! |

QUOTE(karhoe @ Oct 1 2010, 04:48 PM) Called Dell again, said my monitor is with DHL, the fact that DHL has not called me means that I would definitely not get it by the stipulated 4th, damn it lol looks like 11th Oct would be a more accurate indication for most of us. But knowing them - it may get pushed to a week later! |

QUOTE(Racerx @ Oct 4 2010, 01:21 AM) here's pics from my LCD,my eyes can't see the tinting but how about you guys? the one with the google front page is obvious - Is it that prominent or it's only when you take the picture?Added on October 4, 2010, 1:27 ami forgot to mention this before but the U2311H uses 28W - 35W while idle, that's pretty much in the LED backlit territory |

lol looks like all of us who ordered last month just got it one shot. I have to say.. you've really gotta try using IPS to believe it. I have one TN and one IPS side by side now and there's really a lot of diff!
as for tinting issues.. i guess i'm not bothered by it, not really noticeable to me.. maybe i'm not in graphics editing so it's not an issue! highly recommended! |

After calibration Brightness: 30 Contrast: 75 Input Color Format: RGB Mode Selection: Graphics Sharpness: 50 Dynamic Contrast: Off Response time: Overdrive RGB: Custom • R: 99 • G: 95 • B: 98 I did not install any profile - you got it from the cd? Can't seem to find the overdrive thingy in the lcd menu - been looking for it! |

QUOTE(hnr2802 @ Oct 7 2010, 03:44 PM) Dell's U2311HAs for Zodius - just search this thread for calibration - you can find some settings. For most people though the monitor looks pretty good right out of the box, to me anyway. But probably can lower down the brightness and contrast level. I've tried the settings which i posted earlier - looks a bit darker only and to me a bit washed out lol |

QUOTE(Boomeraangkid @ Oct 8 2010, 04:23 PM) It all depends on their stock availability... but for the price you're paying it's probably one of the more worth it 23" IPS monitor out there. If you can wait and have a spare monitor then go ahead and get it! If you dont have any monitor to use now and cant wait, then maybe hafta look for alternatives. Or loan an old CRT from a friend to use while waiting |
