QUOTE(ktek @ Oct 2 2010, 12:10 PM) strong backlight. u try 100% brightness on white screen best! 2209, 2410, 3008 all hot. others i never experience wait until u got a 30" heater in front of ur face haha can imagine that already..it's not troublesome but definitely make u worried considering how expensive IPS panel is..Dell seriously need to make Led backlit ips standard right now..way cooooler

QUOTE(leymar7 @ Oct 2 2010, 09:45 PM) Dell U2311 dont have at retail shop? Compare to Samsung P2370HD..which one is better? Looking forward to buy this samsung lcd..got hdtv tuner,built-in speakers, hdmi, headphone out and bla3.. dangg but suddenly interested with U2311..seen the review..ok and with so many of u guys own it..that prove it.. can you recommend me? the samsungs is great monitor but IPS panel have much better display quality (color, etc)..for me i might can even tell about the colour accuracy, gamut and everything but put TN side by side IPS is panel are superb...viewing angle also superb i never see black and dark colour shifting in my dell. on the contrary i can never go back again to TN panels ..the quality is so much different..u might to consider that too i think lulz

Samsung p2370hd - rm10xx U2311 is RM 699 i think...Dell U2410 got hdmi...got couple offer on garage sales.. can get Dell U2410 under 1.2k, it's ridiculously worth it

Added on October 4, 2010, 1:27 ami forgot to mention this before but the U2311H uses 28W - 35W while idle, that's pretty much in the LED backlit territory can't see any tinting...oh my untrained eyes

QUOTE(wildwestgoh @ Oct 30 2010, 08:18 PM) Don't think Dell 2209WA will support 1080p. Although it might support HDCP through DVI. Click on Tech Specs. http://www1.ap.dell.com/my/en/business/mon...s=bsd&cs=mybsd1Max resolution is 1680 X 1050 actually i dont really mind if the movie or games scaled down and a bit stretched...but splurging RM1k on consoles without knowing it'll even displayed is bothering me..lol QUOTE(wildwestgoh @ Oct 30 2010, 09:08 PM) This topic should help you with your decision. http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1411974tq for the feed back..actually i already own 2209WA...so i think with all this Ips glory it's a shame if it's cannot do consoles+1080p
