Citibank M'sia will be launching their new credit card this coming June.

Got this info from friends that work in Citibank, but they have no idea what card type will be launch.

Anyone have info or idea what type of credit card they will launch?

I have a bad experience with Citibank. I would like to apply card from them. I applied it on 1 month ago and last few days I wanna check for status. You know what I found out , they said my IC number never in record. I feel like what the heck. Then never mind,I go apply again. Wow .... card less than 1 year and 6 months then I have to go provide so many thing like EPF Statement,3 months salary slip and one thing EPF Statement must from KIOSK machine. THey don't accept online slip.. Screw them kao kao .. I won't apply CITIBANK CC anymore.

Just now I tried to use my MasterCard at Petronas. Got declined after the "seeking approval" screen. Error code A6. Any idea what this is? Still got lots of credit limit, so it's not because I broke the limit.

Call the credit card centre to see if their system detected any transaction.
If they said no, it means the card reader at Petronas is faulty or line is down...not your fault.

Don't be upset bro. They had this application requirement for quite a few years already.
I had this problem when I cancelled my card with them and wanted to reapply again within less than 1 year. Encountered so many problems which make me wonder why they treat me as if they don't know me.

I waited patiently till 'technically' I can be accepted and I am back with them again. Don't be surprised if HSBC also alienates you should you cancel and wishes to reapply within a short time span. I had problems with OCBC applications as well but it doesn't bother me much coz the card got no privileges that interest me.

Bro ... rejections are normal. Even the senior cc users also encounter this.

what 5% cashback, only for accounts with outstanding balance. what a joke.

it seems like credit card company these days like to have something big to attract your attention, then the fine print will totally turn you away.

MasterCard and VISA are both widely accepted.

This is the case in Malaysia. Certain stores in the States only accept MasterCard but it is a very rare case nowadays.
