From my perspective, banks can do whatever they want - customers just need to be alert to this and react accordingly.
JustOne technically does not exist anymore in SCB's active line - well at least they no longer issue this card to new applicants. Probably this is the only card in Malaysia which has seen less than 6 months for public application and then close.
*
I am also not surprised if SCB changes the T&Cs for JustOne card. In fact, SCB has reduced the interest rates of JustOne current account several times.

Besides, SCB may not gain much from JustOne cc as most of the JustOne cardholders could be those early birds with wise attitude.

You need to call their CS to clarify. EON Bank is trying to improve their service but is still not as efficient as other banks.

If you read the T&Cs carefully, the RM50 cash back campaign runs until end June 2010. Unless EON Bank extends this promotion, otherwise those apply for their newly launched Visa Signature and get the card after June will not be able to receive the RM50 cash back. Furthermore, the T&Cs also state that EON Bank has the right to claim back the RM50 cash back from you in the event that you have been given the RM50 cash but you would like to terminate your card within a year from the new card approval date. This implies that you have to fork out for the second year service tax.

I just called the CS to clarify. She said it will be shown in the July statement. biggrin.gif

if you're using CIMBClicks to pay DA bill, I believe one should use 3rd Party Fund Transfer instead of the Pay Bills menu.

It can be done thru "Transfer Funds to My CIMB Accounts" to any of your active saving/current accounts and credit card accounts.

Hi,

would like to ask, i've been using the maybank visa petronas ikhwan for two months now, today when i checked my statement via m2u, it showed (dated on 22nd July):

SERVICE TAX - PRINCIPAL RM50.00

Is that the suppose-to-be government tax that been charged annually? Thanks smile.gif

You're correct. Sorry that I'm confused because I use another CIMBClicks account to pay my DA bills and that's why I need to use "To Other CIMB Accounts" under Transfer Funds.

I'm holding the Citibank Clear Card, the rewards point is kinda sleepy, I have to use over RM 22,000 just to get the cheapest voucher of RM 100, which means it's around 0.5%. While Cashback is giving back cash around 0.2-2% depend on what you use. Is it a smarter choice to get Cashback? I like the design of Clear Card because it's translucent, while Cashback card design is bland.

Why does the blandness of the cashback card design matter? smile.gif

Allow me to put forward this question ... appearance is more important than functionality ?
If appearance is your choice then Clear card would be best suited for you.

Never mind ... it appears the appearance of the card matters to this guy. Different people have different preferences.

You have to register for online/e-banking using your ATM card at ATM machine.
You can only perform fund transfer from your saving/current account but not credit card account (where you only have credit but not cash).

But you can register with your credit card as well. This only entitle you for e-statement or allow you to check your credit usage.

How to register for e-banking service for CIMB (taken from here):
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Or you can try out cimbclicks demo version here:
Click Submit -> View Account Detail (check accounts balance) -> Transfer (at top)-> Transfer Fund -> To My CIMB Account
