I'd go for biz5 but I really prefer having 20mbps of max bandwidth. We could probably get them to remove the daily cap but I'm sure the monthly cap will stay. Perhaps our best option is to come up with a local p2p system and pool our resources together.. saving the available data quota for streaming purposes. I've seen it work on those uTorrent webui services here on LYN anyway :3
I think this is their strategy,
Create drama by imposing ridiculous daily cap. People get emo, then they drop daily cap but keep the monthly cap as is. This way it's the lesser of 2 evil and people won't think twice.
Well we won't fall for this

If what Sg999 said is true regarding the FUP,
Pros
--------
1. int traffic only (that should be fair since local traffic shouldn't be counted toward the bandwidth usage quota. Malaysians can also work toward local private torrent trackers to solve this issue)
2. caps only for downloads (so meaning not upload? So if your using Unifi to host a website for ecommerce or private use, then it is excellent. The main worry was people won't bother doing a home server because upload would add toward quota for your own usage when it came to downloading stuff)
Cons
---------
1. daily cap (there are 3 points to look at)
(a) the daily cap is 2gb, are they nuts ??? greed? or both o_O; This is too little.
(b) the daily cap throttled speed is damn low
5mbps = 625 KB/s max speed
250 KB/s = 40% of total speed for 5mb unifi.
I really hope you did a mistypo for 250 kbps, because that is 31.25 KB/s !!!!! Which is 5 % speed of your 5mb unifi !!!!!
© at the end of the day, why is daily cap needed when there is a monthly cap ??? Monthly cap should be fairer, because isp knows people are entitled to this much bandwidth in a month before they are throttled. But daily cap, they are controlling our internet habits by forcing us to use highspeed broadband for web surfing only. Does that make sense??
2. monthly cap ( are they gonna revise the ridiculously low monthly bandwidth cap ??? )
3. pricing (with all the caps in place, you would have thought the broadband would be cheap, but it's not the case. In fact Malaysia is the most expensive broadband in the region.)
4. reviews (in a recent review at some tmnut event, it was reported that only 14% was dissatisfied with the service. Of course, because they didn't enforce caps yet. Once caps is enforced i am sure it will drop to 99%
http://twitter.com/search?q=%23unifi 1% would not notice since they may just be really casual web surfers )
Note:
With bandwidth quotas, self bandwidth monitoring is important so you can keep track of your usage. You can also use as proof in case some issue later arises. How are people gonna differentiate between local and international bandwidth usage??? For example My DU Meter doesn't seem to discern in the bandwidth usage report whether it's local or international traffic. It does however separate upload and download at least.
@rizvanrp
Any idea how to get the fax to work? I rather not call over a tmnutter to come fix, because then they will fug up my settings.
