QUOTE(iv'N @ May 1 2010, 03:17 PM) Only certain areas. Some are under the TTDI exchange.Don't ask me which area specifically though, that's what the CS told me. Anyways I've seen them deploying the cables at Jalan Kasah and also the road near the mosque. The fibre distribution points have been ready since quite a while though... |

QUOTE(rattan @ May 2 2010, 02:05 PM) Yes there are a few people flashed it with DD-WR and got the IPTV working with some additional setup. Refer to version 4 thread. There are even some screen shots of it. eh I don't remember seeing anyone getting iptv working after flashing to DDWRT. Even rizvanrp didn't manage to do it. Are you sure? |

QUOTE(tch9 @ May 5 2010, 05:24 PM) Hi! Have you guys encounter this problem with IPTV. Well what d'ya know... I'm not alone. When watching live tv on IPTV, the channel will randomly freeze. Then you will have to switch to other channel and it will resume playing normally. Any of u guys having this problem with the IPTV service? I guess the service is not stable yet. They did announce that they're upgrading and stuffs. |

I don't use pps thoughso far, i have see that, unifi is often unstable @ night, where by the facebook game kept dc, ping randomness @ gg clients sometimes take 5~10s just to load google @.@" and pps are not always working, sometimes need refresh few times or more x.x" dl speed are varies too... most dl are only reach 200kbps |

QUOTE(BlackHawling @ May 17 2010, 10:57 AM) unifi are not that good, for my area, its not so stable Sorry to hear that, sounds like an isolated case. Better call their tech support.currently staying @ subang SS15 the unifi , sometimes ping high, sometimes ping low, and so does when loading youtube only for youtube, other like youku or some other streaming sites stream very slow... my 1mb streamyx can beat it x.X and frequent dc from facebook game also.... Really happy with mine so far. |

QUOTE(yongkailoon @ May 18 2010, 08:48 PM) UniFi users, after subscribing to it, the phone number will be different is it? Also, it does not use the traditional phone port anymore is it (because my house alarm connects to the copper line)? You get to keep your current number. The line is totally separate. It doesn't use the traditional phone port at all. |

QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ May 21 2010, 11:02 AM) Uh .... i get weird feedback from tmnut. My gf lives in the affluent Bukit Damansara and that green box is right in front of her house; and unifi is not yet available. Upon browsing the area, one can see that the cables are still being deployed. They say my place no Unifi, but the bungallows a street across have unifi. They are also in Mutiara Damansara also, so how come they have but i don't o_o; wtf ?? My residential area already has the green boxes installed same like those bungallows across the street so what is the problem i wonder. is it because the datuks live on the other side :/ ?? why got double standard. Even if you see the fibre distribution points around your area, it does not guarantee service availability, this is what unifi cs told me. BTW, I don't think has anything to do with VIPS living in the area or such. |

QUOTE(rizvanrp @ May 23 2010, 05:58 PM) Just for the record, my TMnet provided DIR-615 w/dd-wrt just died last night . It got fried during a power fluctuation, I'm using an old laptop with pfSense at the moment and it works great with Unifi. Snort IDS, transparent SQUID caching proxy, 100000 connection state table I guess that means you're gonna get back your iptv... |

I just terminated my Streamyx account yesterday. Have not used it for about 2 months. When I subscribed to Unifi, I was told that I can only terminate my Streamyx after the 'free unifi' period is over. (July)
It turns out that this is only applicable if you haven't fulfilled your minimum contract period with Streamyx. My friend terminated his the same day he got his Unifi. So yeah, at least I won't get billed for June. |

QUOTE(klseet @ Jun 16 2010, 11:32 AM) Hi UniFi sifu, yes that is a ground based fibre distribution point. even if it's in front of your house it doesn't guarantee service availability.Just to re-confirm, is this thing (at the back lane) for UniFi service? May I know what it call? This thing has been there since end of last year, I went to TM and ask few times they also cannot confirm when is the actual date to provide service also cannot accept pre-registration .... Any idea where and who should I contact in order to pre-register? QUOTE(andydemarco @ Jun 16 2010, 02:44 PM) rizvanrp Unifi billing starts next month (excluding VOIP, which has already started). We should start paying for unifi this month or next month? Can i terminate my streamyx service now? How to terminate, do i call unifi line or streamyx..? You can terminate your streamyx now IF your contract with them is over. When I wanted to terminate mine at TMPOINT DU, the staff gave the usual "oh actually you cannot terminate now, only after june". When I told her my contract with streamyx is over, she went to check with her colleague or whoever it was before telling me that I can terminate my streamyx. Like someone said previously you can only do it by filling up a termination form at tmpoint. HOWEVER, a close friend of mine managed to terminate his streamyx via the phone. What makes it stranger is the fact that he did it by calling Unifi's hotline; something that I tried to do without success. The CS's name, IIRC is Haslina. I've spoken to her previously and she was pretty efficient. Couldn't get her on the line again though. Not sure if it was a special case or what.. this was back in May. |
