correction the shop unit sometime cannot upgrade to 3 yrs warranty

I think u need to be corrected, unless it's those unknown unit from overseas, all can be upgraded, but price is definitely higher than wut u customise from online. Btw afaik 3 years warranty from overseas is covered by malaysia as well provided u do the ownership transfer. Make sure u check ur service tag b4 u purchase even those unit from overseas or retailer usually u can get info from the tag.

If u got the complete cover u can nego with the support, like say the bright pixel or dead pixel is makin u unable to perform ur work. Those with higher paid warranty usually can bargain it off. But it depends on how good ur bargaining skills is. Malaysia i am not sure but overseas they have very high customer satisfaction rate. But no doubt our malaysian people if dun care then sure they won't bother. Depends how serious we make our problem seems to be usually if u escalate ur case u might get lucky. But due to typical malaysian mind some do take for granted hence most supports will ignore or even brush off if u just mention ur screen got bright pixel or dead pixel. Best is to mention the screen is blurry, givin images, dims, or having dark spots. If they see it's a serious case they might change the panel for u coz the problem is not the dead pixel or bright spot it's the panel. brows.gif

I hope nobody will take advantage of this as I heard from the dell support technician some do take advantage of it by claiming for items which totally don't have any fault. rclxub.gif

Use my line last time got 2 particles of habuk in the LCD.

"Here's the dust particles mentioned. It looks really obvious when on white background and good lighting and really annoying for me to enjoy my Dell experience comfortably."

Company nowadays, they seem to market the whole idea of experiences with them are the best. So by saying that, it helps.

If they whack in a 5650 or 5750 or even 5830 then it would be a steal. But to make the price hit around USD 999 or RM 3999 is quite hard with those upgrade unless they skimp on something. Probraly using I3 or I5 would be a better choice. drool.gif

Nope. It's okay for me. I still own a DeathAdder (1st gen) and the Imperator doesn't "fill up" my hand like the DeathAdder does, but it's not small by any standards. Worth the RM279 I paid for it. Adjustable buttons are nice but you'll most probably only use them once and leave it there.

Well it's hard to say unless dell officially announce it. But one thing I go for M15X is the higher res screen, faster processor and built-in DVDRW. If I want portability I would go for the M11X long ago. 1366X768 is the main problem I won't go for the M11X. I would go for it if they have 1600X900. tongue.gif

I have no regrets. I bought M11X for mobile gaming, and I'm pretty sure the inclusion of the i3, i5 or i7 would rob the battery life, which is crucial for me.

U can order 5870gc from ebay and self upgrade. Tis wil void ur warranty and of cos the heatsink fan wil not suit u.
u can upgrade to 6 year or more if u lik. But jus price are different.

Anyone wan to ext warranty can pm me. Tqvm

seem like there is some wrong info. max. warranty for 1 system is 5 years. never see before Dell allow to quote 6years warranty.

the different between current M11x CPU and i5/i7 Ultra Low Voltage TDP's is not much different - which make me thinks its still manageable.

Hi there,

Please add me to M15X owner list.

Sadly my GPU was burnt and have been replaced a few weeks ago >_<

My temps readngs during full load:
CPU - 68-72
GPU - 90-94
@julchin_09
you sig M15x -> 5870 DDR5, does this means you mod it like the guys in notebookreview forum?
why there is 260GTX + ATI 5870?

is there a way to get hold of an 5850 ddr5 directly from dell? i'm worried that my 260gtx will be fried soon because of the high temp >__<

Welcome Chidori. Added you to the list. What specs did you get anyways?

If you ask me, better to stick to your GTX 260M than the ATI 5850 at the moment. But your temps are pretty high I must admit... I play my games pretty intense and never stinge on the performance and the details. So I max out my resolution and details settings whenever I can. METRO 2033, CRYSIS WARHEAD are the few games which really stress the GPU. Before I got my GPU (260M) Replaced with a new one with a new heatsink, my old HIGH TEMPS of a MAX or 92C has dropped to 85C. Even during normal gaming the old 260m gets about the mid 70s to 80 most of the time and rarely goes beyond 81 or 82 even when I overclock the 260M. I attribute it to my newer FAN + HEATSINK which DELL REPLACED for me about 1month back. Ever since then my temps have been really good with OC.
CPU Temps is 50s to mid 60s while gaming.....
