why there is 260GTX + ATI 5870?

The retailer units are Su4100 if below Rm 3699, if RM 4199 it will be the Su7300. Usually it comes with bagpack, foc items upgraded spec and stuff. Benefit is can take credit card and 0% installment. If buy from reseller here, can get cheaper but must pay cash. Do try to check the service tag and also call up dell. Not to condemn reseller here but I did experience lappies without warranty as it's not for Malaysian market and must upgrade the warranty to 3 years to get international warranty.

U can order 5870gc from ebay and self upgrade. Tis wil void ur warranty and of cos the heatsink fan wil not suit u.

u can upgrade to 6 year or more if u lik. But jus price are different.

as i always follow new technology, so 3 years warranty i think i no need lor, hahah.... 1 year enough, after 1 year sell off, then get new 1 with better spec and better technology

sadly my 260gtx fried just a few weeks ago >__<

they change my whole system, mobo, gpu etc......
when they're changing i ask them to use my as3 thermal paste though

after they fixed my system, my alien fx flashing issue with new command center seems to be fixed...... it's strange because my old M15x mobo was already flash to a05 bios and new cc alienfx bios too

well, lucky my 260gtx was fried i should say, lol

my last game before my 260gtx was fried is AvP 2010... maybe too brutal killing enemies, 260gtx also being killed together

perhaps i should call dell and explain to them my high temp so that they can change to 5850? i do notice that 5850 is cheaper than 260gtx by usd100 in dell us site. i think 5850 ddr5 will be faster than gtx260m and runs cooler too after going through some reviews

but still i'm uneasy with the temp of 90C ++ ..... >_<

I don't think high-end GTX 4xx will fit the M15x already. The GTX 480M power consumption and size already too much...waiting for the mid-range ones- 460M etc.

But what about the 380M ar?


+1. I think I will sooner upgrade my HDD to SSD than my graphics.

Nope. It's okay for me. I still own a DeathAdder (1st gen) and the Imperator doesn't "fill up" my hand like the DeathAdder does, but it's not small by any standards. Worth the RM279 I paid for it. Adjustable buttons are nice but you'll most probably only use them once and leave it there.

i have call dell. M15x 1 year ext is rm700 2 year is rm 1.1k. Anyone can get better offer? Btw i change my LCD panel and now have 1 bright pixel? Do you think dell will replace new one for me again ?
