i got my psp black/blank screen. how i solve the problem. the light of power is on but no image on the screen. even tear off the battery to replace it back also couldnt b help..anyone pls help..

Hey guys, I have a problem.. My psp memory stick is 4gb, but now it shows 2.6gb only. There are NO Games/songs/videos in it whatsoever. @_@;; any way to solve it? I checked the properties of all the folders, the total wouldnt even take away that 4gb to 2.6gb.. so.. where has the other 1.4 gb gone?!

i have no idea how ppl manage to get the job as a video game salesman. example... today i went to ask the price for a psp 2000 i ask ' bro psp 2000 how much now?' he ans 'what you talking?' then i change to 'soli bro psp slime how much?' again he was so blur. so i point at the psp and ask 'this psp how much?' (pointing to a psp 2000) he said rm800. then i ask 'what firmware is it on?' again he was like 'soli i dont get what are you trying to say' i dont know how to ask only he can understand so i ask is there anypne experience in this that i can ask? he called his friend (i think) then i start ask 'what firmware is this on?' his friend said 'sorry mr. i dont get what are you saying...firmware? 5.XX la!' then i asked again is it a v3 mobo or a v2 one? again he is blur and starting to scold me say 'xiao di di, you dont want to buy dont come and kacau us do business la! it's either you take that psp and pay fot it or you get lost lar!' then i was like O.o and said 'sorry i was just asking to make sure its the psp i want' then he replied 'all psp same one what its either this one or this one which one you want? faster choose all these are the same1 same price same thing want to buy anot?' again i was like O.o he is showing me psp 1000,2000, and 3000 and he say all same price and same thing =.= how does this kind of ppl get to work as a salesman anyway. they dont seem to have any knowledge about the stuff they are selling also. sigh. then after that i move on saying sorry for taking up your time and move on to another store then this time i ask if they have psp 1000 aka psp phat. they say got. so i was kind of suprise and i ask the price... rm799!!! then i ask is it second hand or is it a recon set? he took it out and yes it is a psp phat. but i didnt touch it yet and he ans me ' this one new set just came in yesterday rm799 is very cheap already! you wont get this kind of price anywhere else you know.' =.= guys... psp phat stop production like how many years ago... he said it's a new set and just came in yesterday... walao leh. then i take the psp and play around with it and guess what... the psp has already been modded with speaker at the umd there and almost all almost all the button also got led light flashing here and there. swt i really dont know how this ppl can get the job. haiz in d end kena halau from the store again lols.

how u get freecheat application to work on psp?? i have installed it and active it under recovery mode and for psp but cannot start it on psp or ingame menu and my psp is 2000 and firmware is 5.00 m33-6...thanks |

heya guys, need to ask abt Remote Play.i try to connect my Phat PSP with my PS3 but cannot because i didnt have the remote play setting in my PSP. is there anyway to make that Remote Play appear in my PSP setting? i tried google it and found out that something has to do with the KeyCleaner. is it true?

My PSP 3000 save game data all corrupted. Anyway to get them back? I am using GEN-C 5.03 Help please Further more when i scan my psp with anti virus, i found these as virus F:\Driver\Files\zerX.exe F:\RECYCLER\S-5-3-42-2819952290-8240758988-879315005-3665\jwgkvsq.vmx F:\thumbs\install.exe F:\1a1dndah.exe Can i delete them? i play too much tekken

guy do any of you know how to make a prx file and what program do you need in order to do it? i want to make a prx file like playboy's 'factxmb' type and still cant figure out how even after research so i hope you guys can help me on it or any program that can open a prx file and read it. thx in advance

i just bought a black psp3000 @ RM899 c/w 8gb,plastic and screen proctector. current firmware are 5.03 gen c . i feel this firmware so troublesome.everytimes no battery/i off it completely/take out battery ...i have to activate the chichen and enable a software back only can play games.now i already registered psn.when i want login,it show that i need update my firmware/software?huh?why and what is this ?anyone can guide me ?btw,what is the maximum memory card size that psp can support?

i think he mean the 'graphic' is when you walk until a wall then you use LR button turn 360 degree you can see whats on the other side with out goin to the other side lols. (u can try it if you dont understand =X)

memory card? tons of brands out there..1 of the recommended brand will be sandisk in my opinion. come on guys, wanna help people, don't be so rude lo =_=" in terms of games opinion,it varies from each person..everyone prefers different type of games :/...i was mia in the thread a while due to sickness and i got another console

Thrust> mayb your wifi switch is faulty you can google up to try and fix it althought you can send it for reapair but you might just get con by paying high price. so yea... try google it 1st and see if you are able to fix it. cheers =] |

1. What's the latest firmware? - Depends... you have PSP1000, PSP2000 or PSP3000? For PSP1000 and most PSP2000, latest cfw is 5.50 GEN xx. For PSP2000 with motherboard of ta-088v3, or PSP3000, latest cfw is 5.03 GEN xx. This isn't rocket science... learn to differentiate. 5.50 GEN xx PSP1000 PSP2000 (ta-088v2 or lower) 5.03 GEN xx PSP2000 (ta-088v3) PSP3000 2. How i know if i have PSP2000 with ta-088v3? - when did u buy the psp? or a better question, what is the firmware that came with the PSP? If it's 5.xx, it is VERY likely a ta-088v3. Another test you can do is use a jigkick battery (pandora) and try to boot it to service mode... if it doesn't load, it's a PSP2000 ta-088v3 or a PSP3000. This process will not brick ur PSP unless u did something horribly wrong. 3. What the difference 5.50 GEN and 5.03 GEN? - Another noob question. Both are the same, except that 5.03 GEN runs on memory, this is why you cannot turn it off else you gotta load chickhen again. That being said, PSP1000 and PSP2000 can run chickhen R2 and 5.03 GEN cfw too.... but who would do that? since they can already use 5.50 GEN WHICH YOU CAN TURN OFF.... is this so hard to understand? It's not brain surgery 4. What's ofw and cfw? - Ultra noob question. Ofw = OFFICIAL FirmWare cfw = Custom Firmware ofw is SONY's original firmware. cfw is a firmware created based on ofw... it makes the PSP more powerful but unfortunately also opens to the door to piracy. That being said, we do not encourage piracy... buy original. 4. Can my PSP be hacked? - look at #1 + your current ofw must not be greater than 5.03. If it's 5.04++, TOO BAD !!! Stop wasting bandwidth. 5. I have a PSPGO.... - LMAO... you noob, why did u have to go buy a failed device? But fret not, if u still want cfw, a rumour has it that there is a vulnerability in 6.20 ofw, so you'll never know... maybe one day there will be cfw for the GO, but i bet the capability will be VERY limited.... hey, it's a failed device afterall. 6. Should i buy a PSP2000 or PSP3000? - after reading the above, u still wanna ask this question?? OF COURSE PSP2000 cos it's far more stable. GTFO you illiterate bus3rd... u're wasting bandwidth with your retarded question. 7. Any last advice? - Yes... if you already have cfw and plan to upgrade it but dunno what the latest cfw is, read #1. If you have an earlier version of 5.03 GEN running and want to upgrade it, read #1 too. Don't be a smartass and try to upgrade ur 5.03 GEN to 5.50 GEN unless u have a PSP1000 or a non ta-088v3 PSP2000. Learn to read & stop asking the same freaking questions !!! I'm using the psp3k one, dun know whether the battery is fake or not. playtime is around 3 hours with max battery, brightness set to max. is that normal? |

When i tried to open the save file folder thru my PC, some of the image file already damaged. you already try to change the memory card? just to check it is the psp or the memory card problemthe problem usually happens if i didn't on my psp for few weeks or a long time... |

no, psp does not even use samsung lcd ...most psp 1k and 2k runs sharp lcd, not just first batch only ...now it's using some taiwan brand.. |

act there is a kind of homebrew that secures your psp. everytime u want to launch a game it'll ask for a password and so on but it plays with your flash0 files so u might want to think twice.... and i waited until now onlt i mention bout it cause i was waiting for you to bloody type it out in google and search yourself instead of asking ppl to spoon fed you!!!!

erm it was not stated that photofast is not meant to be use with memory card reader, they (manufacturer) just mention its fragile. after all, copying data using usb is quite fast (max speed can be obtain depending on type of microsd used) psp lcd r kinda costly now...could reach until 300++ for it

there is a pink psp, just kinda hard to find it these days..don't recommend to get a new psp now as the price are pretty much increased (due to festival season)

I got a question about the psp 2000 and 3000.
I heard this from the shop inside Jusco in Seri Kembangan aka SK. Q1. The person there said that the psp 2000 got pandora battery hacked one. He said it's the V2 board PSP 2000 is pandora hacked. Q2. And he also said that psp 3000 can revert to firmware 5.00. From what i heard, the lowest firmware ver. for psp 3000 is 5.03/5.04 ONLY (correct me if i'm wrong). Can anyone please confirm the facts that i pointed out? Just dun wanna to get CONNED. |

Hi, I am new with psp. I heard my friend says that PSP gaming graphic is as good as PS2, is it true?I saw some gameplay screenshot in PSP, it is quite blur but since it is furthermore enlarged so it might as well to be like that.

just go to the shop you normally get your gaming console from and ask them to order one set for you? provided that you and the shop keep are kinda close lor....

regarding refurbish set, if its a sony refurbish set, they'll use a plain choc colour box and seal with a blue colour tape stated sony refurbish set(do not accept if seal is broken) or something similar, and normally refurbish set are psp2k with mobo that can install permanent cfw |

err guy i have a fren that suspect her psp is a v3 mobo but she is not sure. how to check it? and its firmware is 5.50. but she suspect its a v3 mobo.
and i i'm using 2 memory sticks and i transfer my saved game from one to another but when i run the game it says the save file is corrupted but at the xmb menu i can see my that save file there and still able to see it's properties and no i din't upgrade my firmware of what cause i'm a v3 mobo user. |

hi
firstly really sorry if i sounds like some IT nub or wannabe, cuz i rlly am =( my psp is 3000 chckhen hacked. i thking of changing the memory card from 8gb to 16gb sony memory card to store my games n all that but i not sure whether this is correct step 1) copy all my stuff from the 8gb memory card to my comp 2) then copy it to my 16gb memory card after switching the memory card in my psp i am not sure of this, cuz it was already chckhen by the shopkeeper that i bought it in. and whether i nid any special programme? please help thx alot! |

hai, i'm facing a problem with my psp 2000...
when i on my psp it will stuck at the white screen, not even get into the menu yet...i finaly found it is becaz the UMD system always loading make it become cant go into the menu... if i open the UMD cover than i switch on my psp than it can work like normal...but if i close the UMD cover it will always loading again and stuck at there... anyone here can tell me how to fix it? if send to shop how much it will cost me to repair this problem? anyone repairing psp? |

@serpent1990, there is something wrong with the umd door switch. 2 ways to fix it
..either remove the umd power cable or repair it (according to a lyn technician, it might be due to firmware also)@kirashin, it might be it's due to the buttons are dirty or something. don't think it gets spoil that fast. @helldagger, depending on ur location..we have few technician at lyn to repair psp ;D... Hi guys, am wondering if anybody can help me with a question please? I have a new psp and am trying to update the 4.01 firmware to 5.03 before i install chickhen and pspident.
So after I update the firmware and use pspident, can I delete the files and remove the memory card(with the ofw 5.03 file and chickhen)? Coz i wan to use a new blank memory card with the psp. Wondering if the psp needs those files to run or they are installed into the psp system already. This won't brick the psp, will it?? |

So it's safe to change memory cards?just make sure he has a 5.03 official firmware update, and ur battery is above 75% full, to be safe, plug in ur adapter while charging. in the event of interruption during updating, u might get a brick psp. after updating, u dont need to delete anything, since the update is running from ur frens' ms. and yes, it is safe to change ms since an official 5.03 firmware runs from the flash after updated, not from ms. |

guys, i have a problem here. Why my psp suddenly in xmb, it keep scrolling down and i didn't press anything. i try to press other button but it still keep scrolling down. Help

@serpent1990, i was told by another technician that it might be firmware issue. need to double check (it's not easy to remove the cables and yes it can be put back on later)
@htpkevin, how you know that the button is working fine? it might be the board has issue =/... |

Err, well, it seems its something to do with the board. But then after that i decided to take it to shop to repair tomorrow and i turn it off. But just now i open it back and try it(praying it will work) and now its back to normal@@ so basically i still dunno whats wrong with it so far@@@htpkevin, how you know that the button is working fine? it might be the board has issue =/... |

guys, i have another problem. I am using psp 2k 5.50 gen d3 and my fren was using psp 1k 5.50 m33-4. We wanted to play monster hunter adhoc. But the problem is when we enter the hall, only i can see his character. he cannot see mine character. When he moves his character i can see his character moving around in gathering hall in my psp but he cannot see mine. Then we thought is firmware problem so he flashed his psp 1k to 5.50 gen d3 same as mine but the problem still there. Anyone know what is this problem about? Izzit his wifi problem?(mine psp 2k can play with other psp 2k or 3k without any problem). But he still can use his psp 1k to online google any everything. Any solution to this?
