hi guys, i have a phat psp with 3.40OE-A firmware.
and i wan to upgrade it to latest firmware. i know how to upgrade from 5.50 onwards, but how bout lower version?

i google abit and found different answer. 1 said from 3.40OE-A > 5.00M33 > 5.50 gen A > b > b2> d...
2 said from 3.40OE-A > 3.52 M33 > 5.50 gen A > b > b2> d...

so which 1 is the correct way huh???

erm guys, i just successfully update to 3.52 M33. and now i'm trying to upgrade it to 5.00 m33 in order to upgrade to 5.50gen

so when i'm upgrading 5.00m33, and click the update from XMB, it went to a black screen:
Unpacking... done.
Please Wait...

been waiting for long time. like not responding any more, and it will auto off which i need to turn back on my psp. wheni turn back on, i'm still at tat black screen -.-"

any idea wats the problem???
did i miss any step b4 upgrade to 5.00M33?
i'm using psp phat~

erm how do a bricked psp looks like??
i still can turn on my psp. the black screen things is when i click on the 5.00M33 update.

need helps here sad.gif

wah...sien lah
i re download so many times still the same. and i tried to update to 3.80 M33 but it said must have 3.53 M33-3 even my psp is already 3.52 M33-3 cry.gif

i download the 5.00M33 from here. and follow instruction which is place the update folder into psp/Game/
then rename the other file which is 25MB to 500.pbp and place inside psp/Game/update

result still same -.-

nope. after i clicked on 5.00M33 update at XMB, psp loading screen > then go to a black screen which show me:
Unpacking..Done

and i wait for years, still the same.

anyway, if any1 face this problem heres the solution i found out from web laugh.gif
go to recovery > configuration > smtg like kernal 1.50 > change it to 3.52 M33
cause u need 3.52 M33 inorder to go 5.00M33 and 5.50 GenD3

after that everything solved rclxm9.gif
