i would like to know how to calculate the overall earnings from initial invested amount (rm1000) plus monthly input (rm100) for a period of 24 months. can any sifu here guide me or provide formulas?

The only thing i can say is, dun move all your money to UT. Since UT price can go up and down. UT need to buy at the right time and also sell at the right time. Unlike ASB, which fixed price, you can always withdraw the money in case of emergency. Lost may occur if you sell your units at low price.

You can get extra info about UT in the net also. Google "Public mutual Unit Trust" or something. There are many blogs that talk about PMUT. Heck, u can also browse this thread also laugh.gif

You can also consult a PMUT agent. But I advise you to equipped yourself with some basic about UT so that u wont be fooled / deceived (cant find any lighter word that this haha). Know about bond vs equity fund, risk tolerance and fund's risk(low/moderate/aggressive) , DCA, how to minimize risk etc etc etc.

Hi hAnn,

You should contact your agent to get your overall earnings. He/She should have a program that calculates this for you.

Thanks for the answer David. rclxms.gif

Actually, currently I'm reading several site regarding UT and PM, planning to start invest next year.

Another question, anyone know where I can get the assessment of Lipper and Standard & Poor for PM?
Its included in the prospectus?

I know that this is an extremely good performing fund. May I know how much is the initial charge and is it sold via banks like Maybank or ASNB counter? Thanks.

Hi, just stopping by to say that I'm also a unit trust consultant (UTC) under Public Mutual. I hope everyone continues to strive on proper financial planning as I am too! If interested, you might want to head over my site, http://oneringgitcookiemonster.blogspot.com . However, its still new and I'm updating it whenever I can, considered small fish compared to other financial blogs out there .. haha!

My year-end word for fellow UTCs, "Keep up the good work and do not forget that every prospect is a land to be filled with seeds of financial freedom, with the right approach and honest service!"

To everyone else, drive safely when you travel during this x'mas season. Avoid accidents as your hard-earned savings/investments could vanish with a print of the repair/medical fee receipts! Prevention is better than cure, wise people said. smile.gif

The initial charge is 7% for AMB? Indeed it is performing better than Ittikal. Where to buy this fund? Which bank?

Hi koinibler. You can get a snapshot of the Lipper and Standard & Poor review for PM in the PM homepage itself. Just look on the right side below the bar 'Fund Performance'
