I believe that is not the only China that suffers such big blow. Other China funds from Public Mutual have the similar performance; way below its initial NAV; i.e. PCIF, PCSF.

David is indeed correct...Most of the China funds are actually way below their NAV right now... I guess just keep in mind that you are investing for the long term...

Not such thing of below NAV in UT. The current published figure/price is its current NAV. It is just way below its IPO price. |

Hi,
I need you guys advice. I started to invest in public mutual last year in two funds (public china titans and public growth). Initial investment is rm1500 per fund. Each month I add another Rm100 into each fund. PCTF is not performing so well as compared to PGF. Im thinking of switching PCTF to PGF. Is it a good idea? Is it better to switch all in one go or a few times? |

for each 100 invested, I need to pay 5+ for the fees. The return is not high, I invested 2000 on one of the fund and until today the value is only 2100++. In 2 years, I only earn 100++. If price going to drop next year, I could not even get back my own money ..

QUOTE(JinXXX @ Dec 29 2010, 09:58 AM) you going long term or short term ?? "usually" mutual funds return comes in during the long term.. on avg... Long term. Until now it is almost 3 years and this return is very bad. If this is to reduce the inflation rate annually, I considered this is -ve return for this 3 years. I have total 2 unit trust investments and it will be the only 2. I will not recommend this kind of fund to my friends or family. There is more opportunites that much better than this. My personal opinion. |

QUOTE(celinek @ Dec 29 2010, 12:17 PM) Please note that most guaranteed fund is a very misleading investment. It is nothing more than 90-95% long term fixed deposit (NID) and some 5%-10% in highly speculative stocks, yet you pay high fees for very meager returns.
