I believe that is not the only China that suffers such big blow. Other China funds from Public Mutual have the similar performance; way below its initial NAV; i.e. PCIF, PCSF.

David is indeed correct...Most of the China funds are actually way below their NAV right now... I guess just keep in mind that you are investing for the long term...

Oh btw, jeff, i am sure u were prepared to face the risk when you go into Equity fund, rite?

Did your agent give you any reason why to switch to PSF? My agent advised me to switch to PAUEF instead.

You can read her reasons from her blog:

Good luck.

Just for correction, if not some may misunderstand.

The China fund is not way below the NAV.
Not such thing of below NAV in UT.

The current published figure/price is its current NAV.

It is just way below its IPO price.

Hi,

I need you guys advice. I started to invest in public mutual last year in two funds (public china titans and public growth). Initial investment is rm1500 per fund. Each month I add another Rm100 into each fund. PCTF is not performing so well as compared to PGF. Im thinking of switching PCTF to PGF. Is it a good idea? Is it better to switch all in one go or a few times?

Remember that each switching will cost you RM 25. If you want to perform, it's better to do it one shot.

for each 100 invested, I need to pay 5+ for the fees. The return is not high, I invested 2000 on one of the fund and until today the value is only 2100++. In 2 years, I only earn 100++. If price going to drop next year, I could not even get back my own money ..

Long term. Until now it is almost 3 years and this return is very bad. If this is to reduce the inflation rate annually, I considered this is -ve return for this 3 years. I have total 2 unit trust investments and it will be the only 2. I will not recommend this kind of fund to my friends or family. There is more opportunites that much better than this. My personal opinion.

Please note that most guaranteed fund is a very misleading investment. It is nothing more than 90-95% long term fixed deposit (NID) and some 5%-10% in highly speculative stocks, yet you pay high fees for very meager returns. shakehead.gif Stay far far away.
