When the unit trust profile fund size is increased, they will reopen it for sale. Some of the lists of funds that are closed are PSMALLCAP, PIOF, PIDF, PIDF, PIBOND, PBOND... there are more but I cannot remember.

Currently some of Public Mutual funds selling like hot cakes.
Public Islamic Select Treasures Fund (PISTF) will be closed for sales with effect from 18 July 2011 (Monday)

I can't top up, still got a few weeks for my EPF withdrawal.

it is ok to invest in new fund ? as the prize/unit is cheap .. you could get more units with similar amount of money .. as compare when you buy other fund which has higher prize/unit ...
although you don't know whether the fund going to performe well or not in near future ...

I have been told by my agent ...
it is better to invest in fund that have a good performance at least for the past 1 year ... predicting of better performance for the upcoming years ..

How they count for dividend ....
is that you have to invest for that fund for at least a year ... that you entitle the dividend ....

How about if you invest yesterday and they announces the dividend today ... are you entitle for the dividend ...

how they count for the dividend ...
Is it base on your lowest unit trust end of the each months like how others PNB fund (e.g ASN/ASW) calculated ...
or a total of your unit trust the day before the announcement of the dividend ...

thank you for answering my question ...

I think bro Kiddoz's "problem" is the normal fear & greed - see which one of his feeling wins, then he will act tongue.gif

Normal reaction - market fall, fear it havent bottomed.
Market fall more, fear even more it hasnt bottomed
Market no movement after fall - fear it's dead
Market move up, fear it's bear run
Market move even MORE up, greed starts to come in, fear still there - inaction
Market bull run - greed/kiasu comes in and chase higher highs.
then Market goes down - oh crap! tongue.gif

Bro Kiddoz, U trading mutual funds ke?
If U've got yr planned execution of investments (asset allocation, filtered funds which i think U have, and entry/exit rules, sizing, etc), then go ahead and execute base on them lar.

hahaha ... Korrect3 ...like what VK Lingam said ... laugh.gif ...
let wait till next week ... how it goes ....

sometimes it difficult to decide .. it your hard earn money ... you would need to ensure that you invest in a profit-able unit trust ...
rather than dumping your money without proper plan ...
and end up ... you are actually 'saving pennies but losing dollars' instead ...
