Maxis Website now offering the booking for Blackberry Torch. iPhone 4 pre-order will be something like that too?

I received emails from Maxis about a guide for operating iPhone 4 features as well as the backing up features. This is a little too soon, no phone yet! In its message, it did say that it will be here any day now. Perhaps something good for this week or the next.

I sent a msg to Maxis representative on when the pre-order will be open for iPhone4. Here's the reply:

"Maxis have said nothing on prebooking. We expect to start selling by end of sept. "

Think this time Maxis will be same as DiGi previously 3GS launch. Those who register for interest will get an email in order to purchase during launch.

Hmm... well you are most probably right but I think Maxis will somehow have to shortlist us; am sure there are thousands of people on the pre-interest list and they can't be sending out invites to everyone or guaranteeing everyone a phone, right ?

I really hope Maxis will have enough stock to cater to the demand.. very potong stim if suddenly out of stock. Come back next month.

everywhere in the world is coming short of the ip4 after launch in their respective countires, so i assume malaysia will face the same sitiuation too...

even Korea has issues fulfilling customer demands, we might even have more than 100K plus of people who want to get the iPhone early, but if you want the first wave be sure to get yourself to the maxis outlet immedaitedly once the info is out, camp out if you must.

Queuing up on release day will not help if you do not pre-order

I think most people will get their set from SG now. So, I believe Maxis and DiGi will be loosing more potential customers if they don't launch soon...

I guess this is something like the Galaxy S launch. Available immediately for contracts first. Guess it should start on some Friday and towards the weekend.

Let's have our finger crossed and hope for the best for Iphone 4 from Maxis and Digi.

well, havin ppl buy to buy the fone straight witout pre-orders wud save maxis a hell lot of administrative cost/time spent on preparation for the preorder.. bt its tues noon n stil no updates

what we hate the most is that the bb curve is out and not ip4! which was later released after iphone4 did.. How ridiculous Maxis!

Latest news... No need to wait now. There won't be any pre-order going on this week, a week after or at all.
What you guys have registered in the maxis website, getting all those emails will be used as somewhat a pre-order list for them.
They'll send out final email to you asking you to go to your nearest maxis centers to pickup your ip4 when the stocks are ready for releases. More a like 1st come, 1st serve basis. 25th Sept, will be the exact date of the release (if everything runs smoothly in maxis). Get ready guys!
