I am currently using a Citibank supplementary cc. I planned to get a principal card which has rebates for petrol and discounts in certain shops. What would be recommended?

Go for CIMB Petronas credit card, 2% rebate pump petrol at Petronas and 0.5% rebate on retail purchase

Noticed that PBB seems to be having lots of credit card promotions (including relaunch of ManU card) lately. Very different from previous stance of 'dun care about card business'....

Because the bank no business, so they launch their credit card product and some more now credit card are easily to approve.
I want to apply for PB ManU credit card for collection, but I cannot use so many credit card, so have to ignore it somehow.

I don't use Petronas anymore because of the absence of Ron97.

CIMB DA has 5% rebate on the 1st day of the month and 2% on other days but they said till 31/12/09 only

AMEX Gold CC, 5x points on all petrol station. This is equivalent to 2.5% cash rebate

Some station still offers Primax 3. There's one nearby my working place that still sells Primax with limited number of kiosks.

Jz receive my CIMB CC via courier, it stated need activation via SMS/Email/Call. How to do that?
Key in <cardacct> <IC> <16 Digit CC> send to 62002

The cardacct is the same as 16 digit cc?
Anything else to do before I can use the card?

if i am not mistaken,u dont have to activate it,straight away u can use(base on my cimb card collection)

if not just call 03-62047788 to activate it

But still, the normal cash rebate is bad. Not really worth it just to get their card to enjoy the temporary promotion.


No quite so the case. Every year they always have some sort of promotion such as the annual RM300,000 cash reward. Approval of PBB credit card has always been high, due too the issuance of many complimentary credit cards. Whatever loans you get from them, PBB will issue you a complimentary credit card. And no, business is still brisk for PBB despite the economic downturn.

However, some petrol stations such as Petronas and BHP do not accept Amex. Because of this, I switch from Petronas to Shell.


And also, PBB cc promotions are always attached to stringent T&Cs, similiar to HLB. They always claim to give 8% cash rebates (with conditions) but actually they are not generous enough as compared to other certain banks.

Just to confirm for those who hold Amex Ikhwan. I read from the website the annual fee now is lifetime waiver and you will get 5 X treats points at all petrol stations. this is really good

Since when they changed it to 5x for all petrol station? I also not aware of it. Just read M2U website, it is confirmed.

I had face a problem, hopefully someone can give me some information about the way to solve this problem.
Today, i check online bank statement, there are extra charges Rm120 at the same day that i purchased the alcohol worth only Rm75.
The amount is stated differently, Rm120 first then Rm 75.
Anyone, Can tell me how to solve this problem? how to cancel the extra Rm120 charge? between i can confirm, i had sign on the receipt with paid Rm75 only.

just recently. They sent a postcard to me today to mention all this new features hopefully the lifetime waiver is true lifetime waiver no any catch inside it

this is a new upgrades, before this they have changed the features of Visa Ikhwan to Visa Ikhwan Petronas.

what cc ur using?? the easiest way is to go to nearest bank branch and sign a dispute form...
fill in the unauthorize usage column... wait for cc centre to respone...

Awesome. These upgrades are marvellous and almost a par with the new AMEX Gold CC.
