Check with card centre, my due date is 14th, not sure this month or 14/11. Do i need to pay any part of 1000 ringgit b4 14 oct. As i never get my statement before, it suppose to arrive every 25th each month. Please advice.

If just discussing on this transaction alone:
10/10 - Swipe RM1000
25/10 - Billing date (statement send to you)
14/11 - Last day to pay minimum/full payment for the RM1000 (please pay a few days earlier to avoid last minute rush)

What a rule.. doh.gif

And the staff even advised me either to cancel my current CC and reapply for DA, or he can increase my CL for my current CC..

But there's the hassle and the risk of getting my DA CC appllcation rejected if I were to cancel my current CC, and I am back to square one.. rclxub.gif

What's the point of cancelling CIMB cc? And what makes you feel DA is better than CIMB? Both CIMB and DA are under the same group and the benefits offered are almost similiar. Like wise, CIMB brand, for me personally, is stronger than DA now (as people normally won't associate DA with bank).

Need some counsel from cc gurus here.

Here's my situation.

Last month's charges for my cc:
RM1441.08

Due date: 28 Sept 09

I paid: RM1000 on 28 Sept 09 around 8PM.
Outstanding: RM441.08

Around 5 days later, I found out from my online statement that I was charged for late payment. I called the cs and told them that I already paid via the cash deposit machine and I have the slip to prove it, and the CS told me I'd have to make a report at that particular branch. I was also told that the late payment charge will be waived once they've confirmed the payment.
So I went to the said branch and to cut a story short they finally acknowledge my payment. (debit reversal)

This month's statement is out, and I see these 2 charges:
Late payment charge: RM13.80
Finance charge - 16%: = RM22.27

I called up their CS, and was told that the late payment charge will be reflected in my next statement. I'm fine with that.

I asked for a revised finance charge (since the current one is based on non payment) and was offered a full waiver instead if I settle my outstanding balance in full.
(Just for the record, I've always paid on time, and this is only the second time I didn't pay in full)

The closing balance for this month's statement is RM2171.42 (the RM1000 I paid is not reflected).
I forgot to ask the CS about this but does it mean I only have to pay RM1171.42? (this includes late payment and finance charge)
And is the offer by the CS plausible?

Need some info on maybank cc increase limit.

How do I fill in the forms? This is because I run a few business so income is not associated with only one company and I also am employed permanently with one company. Always confused on this part. How should I fill in the forms regarding income.

There are 2 parts to fill in:

1. Annual Salary/Business Income

2. Other income

Also for the employer, which one should I put. My own company or the company where I am under contract for?

I just need to know so my application will follow through.

Thanks guys.

If i'm not mistaken, you should pay the minimum payment/partial payment/full whatever before the due date stated on your bank statement in order to avoid the late payment charge. According to my Oxford Thesaurus, due date means the date on which an obligation must be repaid. The 20 days grace period is counted from your credit card statement is issued (statement date). So if your statement date is 8 Sep, then the due date will be on 28 Sep and you should pay before 28 Sep.

Anyway, not too sure about all others but i'm sure someone will be able to reply your query very soon.

Well when I told the CS that I paid on the due date itself, he didn't say anything about paying before, he just said there's no record of the payment. Based on that I think we can conclude that paying on the due date does not constitute as late payment?

Submit ALL and let the bank analyse, if you want to get a high CL.

Your case should not exist. It is because under the new rules effective 1st July 2009, credit cardholders are given a grace period of 3 days upon expiry of payment due date to settle their cc bills. In other words, if you make minimum, partial or full payment prior to the expiry of the "grace period", you shall not be liable to late payment penalty.

You will definitely get waiver for the late payment charge. The tiered interest rate on your outstanding balance, could however be affected.

The differences between DA and CIMB credit cards is that DA is only open to Degree holders and Professionals. Where is, CIMB cards is open to any individuals. No doubt people won't associate DA with a bank, but by holding a DA cards, you are instantly recognised on your academic qualifications. A Professional and a Degree holder can hold both DA and CIMB, but a normal individual without strong academic qualification can only apply the CIMB cards and not DA cards. I'm holding both DA WORLD, CIMB Enrich WORLD MasterCard and DA Visa Infinite. I feel DA Cards are more stronger in indentifying you as a professional person. icon_rolleyes.gif

I don't have the intention to underestimate local banks. smile.gif However, if you talk about "professional" identification and status, some specific products from foreign brands in Malaysia, such as AMEX Plat Charge Card, SCB VI and HSBC Plat cc, carry much higher recognition. Nevertheless, I am a more practical type, and I value and compare the benefits offered by different products, regardless of brands. biggrin.gif That's why I only hold very few CCs offering me good benefits and terminate those don't give me much value. tongue.gif

Hello guys. I'm 14 years old this year and i decided to get a prepaid credit card because i want to do a spot of online shopping. My parents refuse to order things for me ( guess they're too paranoid... tongue.gif ) and i don't qualify for a credit card. Somehow, MOL Freedom prepaid card came to my favour. I have surfed the net for some information and i hope i can get help here . Besides, i also have a few queries which i would like to ask after reading several forums such as MOL Forum.

Here are my questions :

1) Where can i apply for / buy the prepaid CC if it isn't available in the 7-11 outlet in my area?

2) After posting the application form, how long have i have to wait for it to be activated and for the PIN code to be sent to me?

3) Some are complaining that MOL Freedom fails to be verified with PayPaL. Is this true? If so, how to verify it?

4) Do all 7-11 outlets have the starter pack of MOL Freedom Prepaid CC for sale? Some are complaining that the outlets in their area do not have it.

Hope to get some answers soon. Thanks laugh.gif laugh.gif

So it's no more min use 12x per year?
