But as time past, more and more users subscribed under the same station (due to p1 agressiveness in sales) ... then it becomes slower ... it kinda make sense ... haha ... so rule of thumb ... wait 1-2 months after you first see the sales people asking you to subscriber ... then u will find the "actual" speed ...

The same will be faced by Digi Broadband, first question should be asked is how many subs they already have then will justify how how good is the speed ... if they only have <5k or so then it's possible it will still be running good, but when the number of subscribers under a station grows ... it will look like Maxis and Celcom ... Digi, Maxis and Celcom are using the same HSPA technology ... I do not see how Digi Broadband service can be any better as compared to Maxis and Celcom now ... it's physics, no escape for wireless broadband ... wait and see.

u know what, if P1 can give very good service based from our suggestion, then maybe streamyx & other bb provider rasa tak senang duduk hence start upgrading and give better service than they currently provide (I also found a lot of complaint from other threads regarding streamyx & other bb providers). kita semua sama-sama untung maaa....

i think good for downloading & other general use...

if P1 can give lower ping can be really good for real-time apps & gaming...

really hope P1 can do something on this for us gamers (eventho i didn't have any problem when online gaming)...

as others who have bad service area, P1 should quickly upgrade the capacity of the BTS before losing new customers...

i would think high subscriber density in some area can be mitigated by setting up more towers and doing some load sharing (ie, make sure people get connected to the tower with lesser people)

so, spend more money adding tower to existing area and keeping existing customer happy rather than putting the money in expansion and marketing. yeah you earn less, but get way more goodwill and good word of mouth

i didn't get any pay for this. and i didn't say P1 giving very good service to me either. i have tried almost all internet service providers. they all have good and bad in different places and different situation u use them. this also include P1Wimax.

but i've been in telco/IT industry way before I registered here in LYN. I have worked with 2 of P1 competitor b4 (u know, those that giving broadband AND telco service). 1 was and still who monopolised the industry. now i'm still working in telco/IT industry with vendor which providing telco infra & service (e.g. nokia, huawei, ericsson, alcatel, zte; i'm not gonna tell u which one). i have worked in both marketing & technical department, so in any way i know lebih kurang how the business like.

i have to admit sales & marketing will always trying to squeeze more money out of us. not just P1, but all ISP. the technical counterpart will always wanted their customer to get the best of what they have been providing/working on, at least that's how I strive in my work and feel towards the public in my working region when i was working as network roll-out pm before.

i really like to see very good positive building feedback/suggestion, rather than hate outburst/criticism anywhere in LYN. the latest would be the one from p4n6 and lin00b. i know that sometime we can get really mad and burst. me too sometimes. hopefully we can control that.

from me to P1, my speedtest maybe just showing that very very good download speed. this also maybe showing that there are no other user using the same BTS (or a very very small numbers). but what about the ping response time and also upload speed? that's not very good. i don't think sending u email would be good since this problem happen in almost all P1 network (if I'm not mistaken). only way u can rectify this is by sending your expert from technical department to sit down with your vendors which is alcatel & zte. and also tambah tower lah. your important users now are the new generations. they will need a connectivity which stable, fast & reliable. u cannot leave any one of this behind, all are equally important. god knows what they want to do with it but they need them and no compromise.

conclusion p1 wimax is totally unusable, please think twice before signing up contract with p1 and fyi my digi only show
2-1 bar signal for hsdpa and yet it is so much faster then p1

Yea. Wireless will cause alot of losses on packets and give u chokes lol. Use line connection as kingster113 said for gaming purpose.

Heya guys and Lowyat P1 Wimax Rep,

Let me share my frustration with you:-

Yesterday, on Saturday around 8 sumthing in the morning, i found out that my connection has been suspended. Since i can still browse P1 website, i decided to check my bills. The following are my bills & payment history:

ACCOUNT No: 101833119

Bill No. B1-1911697 (AUGUST)
Current Bill RM 221.50
Remarks:
They include RM5 fee for Hard Copy Billing which i did not request for it.

Bill No. B1-2154179 (SEPTEMBER)
Amount Paid RM 221.50 - PAID 8/9
Current Bill RM 104.00
Remarks:
They include RM5 fee for Hard Copy Billing which i did not request for it.

Bill No. B1-2221367 (OCTOBER)
Amount Paid RM 94.00 (after deduction of 2x RM5 for Hard Copy Billing) - PAID 27/10
Current Bill RM 104.00
Rebate RM 3.30 (for service interruptions)
Amount to be Paid RM 194.70
Remarks:
They STILL include RM5 fee for Hard Copy Billing which i have called them to inform
i NEVER request for it.

Bill No. B1-2593702 (NOVEMBER)
Amount Paid RM 99.00 - PAID 26/11 (But did not reflect in this bill)
Current Bill RM 100.70 + 99.00 = RM 199.70
Remarks:
They STILL brought forward the amount from my previous bill WHICH I HAVE PAID on the 26/11.

From the above payment history, for November bill I should get a RM5 waiver for charging me a Hard Copy Billing (which i did not request for it). So, my October bill should supposed to be RM 95.70. So, you still owe me my RM 5 waiver for my next bill. Please refer to Bill B1-2221367 (OCTOBER)

Let's get back on what happened on Saturday morning 19/12, my account has been suspended. My questions are:

1. Is it just because of RM 99 overdue for November bill? I know the payment dateline is before 19/12. But, for the previous bills, I paid my Sept bill on 27/10 and I paid my October bill on 26/11. During that month, there are no interruptions in my connection.

2. OR is my account is 'wrongfully' suspended because your system DID NOT auto-update my payment for October? Which I have paid on the 26/11.

WHICH ONE IS IT? Please let me know.
I have been told 2 different stories by your Customer Service Officer. That, my account is been suspended because RM 1.70 overdue payment for October bill. And, another story is because of RM99 overdue payment for November bill.

3. Why does it need to be a 24hrs time to reconnect my service? And, I only got my connection after 10 sumthing in the morning today (which is more than 24hrs reconnection time)

The following are my complain reference number for the above problem:

1. Report No. 392699
2. Report No. 393172
3. Report No. 394385

I am really disappointed with P1 yesterday, and please do clarify to me what actually happened yesterday.

You can't blame the hate outburst/criticism that is popping out frequently. Promises and claims are unfulfilled after the customer signs up! Worse they have to continue paying for NO service and no solution in sight, just standard public relation respond of 'bearing with us'!
Talk and countless excuses only while they still take your money without giving satisfactory service!
Other country are moving into 10Mbps, here we are still struggling with 2Mbps and positioning the stupid modem are the house!
The whole Broadband industry is so screw up and the current Fed gomen is just unable to do anything. We need to get rid of these old dinosaurs and voting in a new Fed gomen that is more in tune with needs of the younger generation.

I've suspended my credit card just to avoid P1 from keep charging for auto-payment although they told me it has been deactivated but I still don't trust P1 at all. Of what they've done to me I won't forgive u P1.
My Celcom D98 still not throttled now already downloaded 100GB, maintained at 350kbps stable.


Added on December 20, 2009, 12:57 pmYesterday went to P1Stop Queensbay saw many ppl returned & terminated their survives. Many others went there to file their complaint on shitty P1 speed.
ok guys sharing with u all. If u seen P1 sent email to u regarding maintenance to be carried out in ur area, u gotta be prepared cos it'll be taking up to 3 weeks for them, which means 3 weeks no connection for u until they reinstalled the base tower.

P1 told me that there are maintenance currently carried out in my area (cheras)until 26th Dec.. and as expected, the speed are horrible.
I'd no issue with my P1 speed before this since I subscribe on 15th Nov 09.
gonna wait n see whether the speed will get back to normal or not hmm.gif

I duno why no throttle. now just exceeding 150GB d. I thought their fair usage limit is 5GB only.
Maybe the dynamic IP address helps me or the RM168 Sony Erricson MD300 modem.
Youtubing is very smooth man even P1 99 & Maxis 98 cant beat Celcom D98.

As this is PC Fair promo, RM80 for the 1st 3 months, RM30 only for the 5th month.
