I have problem with my connection speed and already emailed P1 yesterday - they replied by calling me just now.

They mention that my area (Cheras Utama) got congestion issue, and will be back to normal on 22nd December.
I hope from now onwards, P1 support can inform to all their affected customer instead of we ourselves as customer need to figure out by ourself.

p1 buddy, i check the coverage map today, and realize that my area suddenly isnt in the coverage map anymore. im not at home right now so cannot check the connection, so my question is, did you remove the tower at my area?

my area is persiaran usahawan, seksyen u1, shah alam

I also faced the same issue, just realize my area has been wipe out from the coverage map hmm.gif
Maybe they are upgrading their tower and they show the current status of the coverage??

I've suspended my credit card just to avoid P1 from keep charging for auto-payment although they told me it has been deactivated but I still don't trust P1 at all. Of what they've done to me I won't forgive u P1.
My Celcom D98 still not throttled now already downloaded 100GB, maintained at 350kbps stable.

Added on December 20, 2009, 12:57 pmYesterday went to P1Stop Queensbay saw many ppl returned & terminated their survives. Many others went there to file their complaint on shitty P1 speed.
ok guys sharing with u all. If u seen P1 sent email to u regarding maintenance to be carried out in ur area, u gotta be prepared cos it'll be taking up to 3 weeks for them, which means 3 weeks no connection for u until they reinstalled the base tower.
bodoh punyer P1

P1 told me that there are maintenance currently carried out in my area (cheras)until 26th Dec.. and as expected, the speed are horrible.
I'd no issue with my P1 speed before this since I subscribe on 15th Nov 09.
gonna wait n see whether the speed will get back to normal or not hmm.gif

huh? irregardless, wanna upload photo to facebook also cannot since march. hardly can and that depend on timing and luck

I think P1 cut down the upload speed quota to be occupied by download speed. that's why download speed seems much2 ok compare with upload..

i dont think so..this upload issue already reported to P1 their admininstrator but no action taken as they unable to rectify the problem.
*
hmm..so they acknowledge this problem..or actually they didnt tell us that they allocate that upload speed to download speed bcos majority user want download speed more.
their current tower cannot support more & more user coming in, so for short term solution, they allocate upload speed quota to use by download.

Let say 1 user = 300kbps upload speed.
If they cut down that quota to only 30kbps per user = save 270kbps extra.
This 270kbps if accumulate for 5users = can support 1 more user with 1.2Mbps~ download speed!!
I've seen how bandwith management appliance use by ISP works before, that's why im coming out with this.
Hope P1 resp can clarify on this.

Btw,last month they wipe out my area from P1 coverage map, but today my area is covered like before.
During the wipe-off period, my connection speed are too slow <100kbps average. but now after been covered back, connection speed are good laugh.gif

they wipe out the coverage because they are doing something with the tower so they dont want anyone around there apply the p1 and then go home, find the speed sux/no speed, and return it the next day,

let me share my experience.
Just terminated my P1 not too long ago, due to unreasonable throttled speed. Apparently, P1 has "unofficially" changed the throttled speed from 400kbps to 100kbps, which is not written on the official page, as well as their brochures. I brought this matter to MCMC, and an investigation was carried out. Finally, i was able to terminate my account without the need of paying a single cent for the penalty. Kudos to the MCMC!!!

So my advice is, think twice before you potong. Pls only think of potong as your last resort.

how to brought this matter to MCMC? just file a report online and they will carry out investigation?
