If it's your first card then just give them whatever they ask you to give them; it's not so hard after all.  The thing I hate about Amex is that it's a combined CL.  I applied for the Gold CC and well they didn't give me any increment in my CL.  It's shared with my Platinum CC but it's okielah, i don't need so much CL anyways and I only use that card for petrol + groceries

For my case i dun seem have any more choice..first time submit so many thingy for an application..i applied cimb mastercard,only required 2months salary slip..simple n ez..
I just submitted the photocopy of bankbook for the Maybank officer to fax to AMEX..Hope this time can get the card..else i will move to other card lol..
How did u all jaga ur card huh? Most of card put in wallet after a while will be calar-balar d.. any credit card wallet recommend?

American Express is slowly gaining momentum. Diners Club however, is like the forgotten card 

While i was just a small kid back in the 90s, i still remember the AMEX TV ads shown on TV2 usually at night when it was movie's time at 10pm sponsored by Perlillis, Blue Seven or Dunhill Double    Time sure flies 

Heard from a very reliable source that AMEX is planning something "BIG" for its cardmembers and merchants. no details though. So if u dont have an AMEX card yet...its timeeeee to get one FAST.

Amex CS rang me again just now to follow up the invitation of platinum charge card. quite tempted but RM2380 for a card per annual is too much? any thought?

If with Maybank, I think it will much faster to get the approval, as you are currently holding their card.

You gotta weigh it. Think the last time we listed it down, the extra benefits were kinda limited to travel related, in specific air flights related. If you're gonna utilise that, then it's probably pretty good.

Plus I can't deny it, a portion of the high price is for the prestige as well. In my eyes at least, this is the most prestigious card in our country.

Yes I know you can buy other stuff with RM2.4k, but if RM200 per month is no big deal to you, then I would say go for it. At least try it out for a year and see for yourself what you think about it

just got my amex cc & its expiry date is following my existing other maybank cc which is february 2010.

anyone know how to renew the cc? at the same time thinking of cancelling my maybank visa & mastercard & just use this amex since got visa & mastercard from other banks.

If you talking about RM200 per month that sound acceptable but now we have to pay RM2380 in one goal. Hmm...with this amount of money, i can go HK return twice or buy one new iphone. haha... anyway, i will think about it.  thanks for the opinions.
