As in branch officer already submitted to credit evaluation department? Well if it's not appearing in the system, it does sound like the application is lost somewhere. Don't think it's in transit considering how long ago the application was sent.

Just called AMEX CS again, this time a guy told me my application was pending bank credit proof on 3 months salary.. sweat.gif He said can either email or fax over, but when I check my Public Bank it only shows 2 months transactions history.. shakehead.gif Can scan and email them PB bank mini statement instead? Else I have to go back find my bank book, go to bank update it then only fax to 03-22820373... sad.gif

Oh you're prooving salary via bank statement and not salary slip? Hmm the PB only shows 2 months? Might be sufficient for them. Did the CS specifically mention that your application only shows 2 months and that was insufficient?

From my case, I didn't include any proof of income. I just copied them my current credit card and that's it. I told them if you need more documents other than that, then just help me to withdraw my application. The reason is very simple, if I can do so for my other CC application, then why not Amex CC?

But, I can did that because I'm sure they should be comfortable with my history... Also, this doesn't always working as well. Last time, Southern Bank (now, become CIMB) had rejected my CC application (i don't know why) and I told myself that I wouldn't apply any CC from Southern Bank anymore... blink.gif

Nope, i did provided IC, EA Statement and 2 months salary slip, that's should be sufficient right? CS told me the remarks is pending submission of proof of amount credited to bank (to proof my salary) and weird thing is they don't even call and ask me for the required documents... sad.gif If i didn't call and ask, I won't know.. Anyone face this issue before? So complicated.. shakehead.gif

That's correct. If one can show the bank one of his/her CCs (qualified for reference) used for more than 12 months, what the hell does the bank still request other P&C documents like deposit account statements and EA forms? If other banks have no problems to accommodate this, why not this particular bank? It's outrageous!

Hi people....

I disappear for awhile only to come back to 5 brand new pages on a brand new thread - super fast lah U all. Anyhow,

@clsia1001,
If it's your first card then just give them whatever they ask you to give them; it's not so hard after all. The thing I hate about Amex is that it's a combined CL. I applied for the Gold CC and well they didn't give me any increment in my CL. It's shared with my Platinum CC but it's okielah, i don't need so much CL anyways and I only use that card for petrol + groceries smile.gif

@evoangel,
If U want to collect the card, don't use it cause after you've used it, it becomes old and it's no longer shiny. My Platinum CC looks shabby compared to the Gold one. Maybe its time for me to request for a brand new Platinum card to be sent to me! *grins*

Did you manage to get them waived the card replacement fee all the time ? Assume if you have done so before.

I think the bank will waive the replacement card fee, just tell them the card is faulty due to "chip rosak"... tongue.gif

thinking of signing up Express AutoPay with my Amex CC... however, I dun know if anybody having any issue with Amex before.

What I'm worry:
1. Amex line down when the service provider credit our account... It happened to my Visa (Alliance Bank Visa) before for my Digi postpaid and it ended up need to use manual credit by Digi and I almost lost my RM10 monthly rebate scheme (as it's on RM5 rebate now and only those signed up long time ago will continue enjoy RM10). Luckily, Digi managed to recover that for me... I don't hope to see similar issue again so I dare not to change to Amex

2. How long does the enrollment takes? If it takes too long, then possibly TNB will cut my electricity...

If you wanna keep the CCs you never/seldom use for collection purpose only, it is recommended that you cancel the CCs for security purpose. Physically you are still the owner of the CCs although they are no longer valid to be used. It's just like the normal card collection.

It's gonna be long process. It took more than 1 month for the respective agencies (TM & TNB) to approve the autopay with Amex. My TM and TNB bills accumulated for 2 months before the Express Autopay was approved.

It took even longer for DiGi. I received notice from DiGi indicating that the autopay with Amex was approved. However, the outstanding amounts still snowballed when the new bill arrived. I called Amex and found out that I have to settle ALL outstanding bills with DiGi before the Express Autopay could take effect. Out of the blue, Amex did not inform me this before I took initiative to call them up.

Just finished reading the T&C, it does mentioned that the Express Autopay will not cover those balance before the effective date, T & C #4.

American Express is slowly gaining momentum. Diners Club however, is like the forgotten card sad.gif

While i was just a small kid back in the 90s, i still remember the AMEX TV ads shown on TV2 usually at night when it was movie's time at 10pm sponsored by Perlillis, Blue Seven or Dunhill Double tongue.gif Time sure flies sad.gif
