No. Last time it was available exclusively to the AMEX Gold and it earns you 5x MR instead of TP.

This has been discussed over and over again that even though your AMEX Platinum/Gold credit card (without any Maybank logo on top of the card) points are listed as TP in your M2U, they are actually earning MR and if you also have any VISA/Mastercard from Maybank, you[ B]cannot[/B] the points to redeem for gifts. Winner, Tgeoklin, Tinkerbel, GHz, Reventon etc. have mentioned about this here so many times

This problem is not unique to Malaysia. Even in United States, the country where American Express came from has the exact same problem. But then AMEX is no VISA nor Mastercard. AMEX is aiming mainly at the upper middle class and above people with high disposable income and AMEX is accepted mostly at big corporations only such as those high-end private label stores in KLCC and Pavillion. Companies such as TNB and Telekom are simply too common but hey, at least you still can pay using your TNB/Telekom bills using AMEX through auto-debit.

Did you manage to get them waived the card replacement fee all the time ? Assume if you have done so before.

Courier charges for the service provided by vPost is actually cheaper but it is only for UOB Bank and HSBC credit cardholders. vPost is a courier service provider based in Singapore.

Globaleshop will provide you an address in the USA. Then right after they get the shipment from Amazon, they will forward it to your address in Malaysia using courier. It works exactly the same as vPost.

Unlike credit card, charge card doesn't come with a preassigned credit line. However it doesn't mean you can simply charge any amount into your charge card.

If your charge card is still very new it is possible that your transaction will be declined after your outstanding reach certain amount. This is what happened to my mom's Green Charge Card early this year and her card's outstanding was only a mere RM1000+. They will monitor your spending pattern. Second or third month into using her charge card, we no longer faced the same issue about our charge cards being declined. Mom bought something in Isetan and charged RMxxxx into the card and it went through smoothly

Definitely no problem at SHELL and Caltex/ESSO. So to all AMEX Gold credit card users, just switch to the Dutch/British and American petrol stations and you won't face any problem ever again
