haih, MBB CS quality is like that....I have had many hard times with them.
But AMEX CS (1800-88-9559) is damn good, I've just called about 30 min ago, to enquire about Express Autopay and the softcopy enrollment form really came in within 5 min as promised.

once u summited your application to branch, they will send to processing dept to process and CS will able to check the status. But if branches did not summit your application (maybe they delay it) then CS not able to check. hmm...

my advice is to check with branch, better still if u know who u handover (branch officer), check with him/her directly see if he/she send ur application to process.

My case was a havoc also. Applied in the July's Treats Fair, received SMS saying i could collect the card on last day of Treats Fair, end up I couldn't collect as with many other applicants as well. So they promised to send to my billing address in a week's time. So, i waited...nothing turn up, so i called...waited....called...waited...end up going to Menara Maybank 1 month later to self-collect.

yup... but if it is not in the system mean application not captured and CS cant do anything cuz we only can view the system.

As in branch officer already submitted to credit evaluation department? Well if it's not appearing in the system, it does sound like the application is lost somewhere. Don't think it's in transit considering how long ago the application was sent.

Oh you're prooving salary via bank statement and not salary slip? Hmm the PB only shows 2 months? Might be sufficient for them. Did the CS specifically mention that your application only shows 2 months and that was insufficient?

From my case, I didn't include any proof of income. I just copied them my current credit card and that's it. I told them if you need more documents other than that, then just help me to withdraw my application. The reason is very simple, if I can do so for my other CC application, then why not Amex CC?

But, I can did that because I'm sure they should be comfortable with my history... Also, this doesn't always working as well. Last time, Southern Bank (now, become CIMB) had rejected my CC application (i don't know why) and I told myself that I wouldn't apply any CC from Southern Bank anymore...

If it's your first card then just give them whatever they ask you to give them; it's not so hard after all.  The thing I hate about Amex is that it's a combined CL.  I applied for the Gold CC and well they didn't give me any increment in my CL.  It's shared with my Platinum CC but it's okielah, i don't need so much CL anyways and I only use that card for petrol + groceries

me too.. im now applying CC for collection as well.. but oso base on their design.. lol

once i swipe my HLB card at petrol station, i notice a scracth. so sakit hati.. now i dun use it anymore.. just keep it aside..

You are right, some of them don't even take care of our cards..

I think the bank will waive the replacement card fee, just tell them the card is faulty due to "chip rosak"...

American Express is slowly gaining momentum. Diners Club however, is like the forgotten card 

While i was just a small kid back in the 90s, i still remember the AMEX TV ads shown on TV2 usually at night when it was movie's time at 10pm sponsored by Perlillis, Blue Seven or Dunhill Double    Time sure flies 

Heard from a very reliable source that AMEX is planning something "BIG" for its cardmembers and merchants. no details though. So if u dont have an AMEX card yet...its timeeeee to get one FAST.

TGV online accepts AMEX?

If yest, I think only entitled to 2x.

They are not in the list. So i guess no. You will not get 5x MR.

Anyway, i didn't know TGV and GSC actually accept AMEX. Anyone can confirm this because i think they accept only VISA or Mastercard. Cathay Cineplexes is the only movie theatre in Malaysia that accepts AMEX.

As far as I'm aware of, Cathay is the only cinema that accepts AMEX due to the ongoing promotion.

No the 5X points promotion is not applicable @ GSC & TGV.  And people, don't forget to cancel the CCs come end December; U don't want to be slapped having to pay RM50 Service Tax.

I think those CS won't be able to answer or may lie to you so that you can continue to spend more....
You should only spend RM1000 per month on AMEX to get the 15% rebate which will appear on your bill after 4-6 weeks.
