15% would be nice but its not constant. Otherwise, a top perfomer starting at 10K, after 10 years would be on 30K plus. It defintaely flattens out.

He does not have a degree or any certification.

In terms on experience, only 8 years+ project management experience.

Seems about right the salary for that kind of position. Fresh grads for engineers can earn around that same amount.

My cousin is a Dr in a government hospital.

Current Employer : ministry of heath
Field: medical officer
Base : KL
Job Description: ward patient, clinics, surgery
Salary: Basic RM 2457
Allowance: rm 1100
Oncall : RM 150 per call ( average 7 calls per month )
duration in service : 4 years

working hours - normal days 7.00 am - 6.00 to 7.00 pm
oncall days 7.00 am to the next day 12.00 pm
ealiest, sometimes 2 pm, may extend till
5pm.


He use to told me this :

- no life as a dr.....by the time u get home, all u think is sleep.
- oncall allowance - RM 150 divided by 30 hours, only RM 5 an hour !!, worse than coffee shop helper.

oncall days 7.00 am to the next day 12.00 pm

tat one just stay at home mah. free for you. still wan complaint.

I believe this is the "compulsory" service that required by the gvt that cannot afford to hire the expensive doctors to serve them. Once you pass this period, your cousin can work with the private hospital or open his own clinic. So I won't complain too much if I were your cousin

Once your cousin is over the houseman period, he can easily earn up to rm8000 a month. If he does continued to advance himself to specialist field such as O&G, cardiologist or radiologist, his earning would easily above rm35k.

FYI, typical radiologist earn up to rm45k-70k per month and a cardiologist is up to rm10k-rm45k per DAY.
