imo, rm2,500 for a newbie under probation is not bad at all. afterall you will get further increment upon confirmation.

Junior Purchasing Exec with less than 5yrs experience = RM 1,800 ~ RM 2,500 (With diploma or degree)

Once you start your career as a purchasing, it is advisable to stick on to the same industry as the remuneration is depend on your bargaining skill, relationship with supplier and number of contact for the industry.

you might secure a job with a salary 2.5k++ in KL but yet your net disposable income still less than what you having in Kedah.
