Everybody said Dr are rich...ok judge urself.

My cousin is a Dr in a government hospital.

Current Employer : ministry of heath
Field: medical officer
Base : KL
Job Description: ward patient, clinics, surgery
Salary: Basic RM 2457
Allowance: rm 1100
Oncall : RM 150 per call ( average 7 calls per month )
duration in service : 4 years

working hours - normal days 7.00 am - 6.00 to 7.00 pm
oncall days 7.00 am to the next day 12.00 pm
ealiest, sometimes 2 pm, may extend till
5pm.


He use to told me this :

- no life as a dr.....by the time u get home, all u think is sleep.
- oncall allowance - RM 150 divided by 30 hours, only RM 5 an hour !!, worse than coffee shop helper.
