I'm a schlub (but thanks). Conversely, Darklight looked like he could've beaten up everyone at the restaurant.

Drop a line next time you guys hit up Terry's gym, I think it would be fun to tag along.

You give yourself too little credit. To achieve that size without supplementation, well, I shouldn't be too surprised actually, real food > supplements and you eat like a cow. LOL!!! Putting you and David side by side was funny shit. Anway, Pash and I were thinking Tuesday if you're game. I'll call you. We'll do back.

You're forgetting that the majority of my liquid weight consists of beer! I'm driving a friend to the airport on Tuesday around 2 o'clock, but I'll do my best to make it--should be fun.

i am very new to body building or even gym. i do not sign up with any personal trainer. Below is my workout program.

Monday : Chest -> followed by Back -> then Cardio (15 minutes elliptical trainer + 5 minutes rowing)
Tuesday : Legs -> Abs -> Cardio (20 mins treadmill)
Wednesday : Biceps -> Triceps -> Cardio (15 mins elliptical trainer + 5 mins bike)
Thursday : Legs -> Abs -> Cardio (20 mins treadmill
Friday : Shoulder -> Cardio (15 mins elliptical trainer + 5 mins rowing + 5 mins bike)
Saturday : Legs -> Abs

is my programe ok? Should i do weight training 1st before cardio exercise? Or should do cardio 1st?

also, somebody said the combination should be: 1) Back + Bicep, 2) Chest + Tricep, 3) Shoulder + Abs. i am very confused now. Which combination is more effective?

Hope the expects here can reply. thanks.

Well, it seems you have the time to go to the gym 5 days a week. My split is:-
Monday : Chest
Tuesday : Back
Wednesday : Legs
Thursday : Shoulders
Friday : Bi and tri, abs
Sat and Sunday : Off for partying =)

Back and bi, chest and tri is a bad combo imo if you're bb'ing focused cos your arms will be fatigued after all the main compound movements.

Cardio after exercise.

You're right too. That's a viable option but how many people like to wake up early in the morning for cardio? Heh.

If you want to cut it's mainly your diet and cardio.

I tot Strength is size.
Care to elaborate between Strength and muscle hyperthrophy?

usually i do my cardio in the afternoon and weights at nite or i swap the timing depending on my time at work
mostly now i do cardio at nite cuz more time (burn 1000-1500 kcal per session) while maintain volume based workout for weights...

cardio morning very rare unless i run at the park
burn 1000-1500kcal ok ke darkie?
i counted my caloric intake per day is around 2500-3000kcal with concentration on high protein low carb and animal pak

A lot to explain but lemme put it in a nutshell. The strength - hypertrophy curve is not always linear. Compare physiques of trainees here on bb oriented and powerlifting oriented programs. We focus on contraction, isolation of the muscles and going by feel when training, not how heavy the weight is.

Just curious on cardio diet. I read an article from Layne(some guy from BB.com, ifbb i think) saying that, postworkout meal for cardio should be the same as normal postworkout meal for weight training (those high simple carbs and protein).

So if let say i m on carb cycle diet, and i train weight in the morning so i have my postworkout shake or meal then on the evening ard 7 or 8 i will consume another postcardio shake aft my cardio and my pre cardio just some carbs free meal. So my post cardio meal will be my prebed as well, since i usually sleep at 10pm. How does it sound?

So in BB we suppose to concentrate on high-rep(12), full motion range + tempo instead of going heavy weight and low rep?
Pls enlighten me the different program style between power lifting and BB oriented. much appriciated
i tot i knew. now i'm not so sure.

i thought powerlifting is a different thing altogether?
u can post whatever questions in the powerlifting thread bro
smile.gif

what darkie is saying, use your guts and common sense when u do your weights
there's no right or wrong cuz i always think its all crap when someone says "the only to get big / strong etc etc is to do xxx kind of way of training..." unless of course such things are common and obvious
different people different orientation and focus
i believe, just like what darkie said in bb thread v3 or v4 that there is no absolution in bb'ing
unless ur talking about powerlifting cuz i have no idea how to start on that cuz its a different thing dah

I'd be interested in finding out how many people actually use good form during their lifts (regardless of where you stand on the hi/low reps/weight/etc.).

Maybe you can start the principle to get muscle hyperthrophy
