How's the rate in Sunway Hospital? I can only view their room rates on the website.

Hi, I have dry and runny nose with some dry bloody boogers inside. I'm getting worried as I think there's tearing in my nostrils because of the bloody boogers (takut it gets worse) . I do have mild sinus, often sleep in air-cond room.
Any ENT specialists that you can recommend for consultations other than Dr Khor (Pudu) or Dr Koay (Sunway)? I was told to check out for Dr. Michael Herg (Tung Shin) as well. |

QUOTE(cedriccheah @ Apr 19 2012, 12:19 PM) Hi, not sure is my personal body problem, my sinus issues came back after 2-3 months. Currently condition just like never did the surgery before... I did this surgery twice. 1st time Normal FESS, after 1 month sinus problem came back went for CT scan again, found a lot scar tissues building up, so he suggested for another round of surgery to remove scar tissues did 2nd times, after 1 month still having same issue. then he just gave me some antibiotic everytime i see him and he wanna suggest for Balloon Sinuplasty which cost 12K+ which i rejected and never go back again. 1st - RM8K+ 2nd - RM6K+ all covered by corporate insurance. So now i still looking for other solution.... any one have any suggestion? I dont mind go for chinese medicines...as long can cure sinus problem. |

QUOTE(feeho @ Dec 10 2018, 07:11 AM) Chang Chew Ming is my former schoolmate. He is quite alright and I had been seeing him for many years, from the time when he had a clinic in SS2 , sharing the premises with the famous dermatologist, also Dr Chang. However, when he moved into Pantai permanently, his cranky sister, Wai Kee, who runs the counter, has stopped allowing me to see him for unknown reasons, telling me to go see Tan Lye Suan instead. I have yet to complain to Pantai about this. This post has been edited by Tham: Dec 13 2018, 12:53 AM |

QUOTE(ryder_78 @ Mar 15 2018, 09:06 AM) For those who visit Manipal Hospitals in Klang, here are my experiences on these two ENT doctors. No operation involved, just periodic checking of ears and cleaning of ears due to hardened wax. These are my observations based on the attitude or character of the doctors concerned. How much did it cost you to get Dr Arvin for the ear wax removal?Dr Muthu Kumar Murugesan ![]() Friendly and quite a talker. Talks a lot and cheerful. However, wasn't too thorough and careful with the cleaning of the ears which was done pretty quickly and at one point not very careful and caused a slight pain to my ear during cleaning. He said sorry. Dr Arvin Balachandran ![]() Soft-spoken and more attentive to details. Cleaning of ears was done much more carefully and longer. While cleaning the ears, the video on the screen showed the tools slowly extracting the hardened wax inside my ears. All was done carefully and slowly as I watched the wax slowly being removed from my ears. Overall it was a very positive experience. In the end the doctor gave me some solution to dissolve the hardened wax which was useful. This solution was not prescribed during my appointment with Dr Muthu. In summary, for general checking especially cleaning of the ears due to hardened ear wax, I surely recommend Dr Arvin. For other cases or major operation, no comment as I do not have experience for these cases. Nevertheless, if you want a cheerful, vibrant and loud talker, Dr Muthu is the man to go. If you want quiet, soft-spoken and more polished, Dr Arvin is the doctor to visit. Personally I prefer Dr Arvin and would recommend him. Was it painful?? |

QUOTE(BacktoBasics @ Dec 14 2018, 12:37 AM) I cannot recall the cost of the war wax removal although i could check the recordsin the file which isn't with me at the moment. Not expensive. I think It is below RM150. The procedure is not painful at all. It is mostly down to the skill and patience of the doctor. It was one of the most relaxed and comfortable experiences I've had with the ear wax removal, by Dr Arvin. |
