i had tinnitus more than 1 month after exposed to a loud music. been referred to specialist at kpj damansara and the doctor can't find any fault. could be irritation from the inner ear and just give me some medics. went there for second time with same result but still can't help it and give the same medicines

im starting to doubt his capability and would like to try other specialist. any recommendation? my medical card only can cover up to RM150 per visit though sad.gif

never heard of him, i have visited quite a number of ENT before and now i only stick with 2 specialists, dr koay (Sunway) and dr khor (Jln pudu). If you searched in this forum you will see that they are the recommended ones especially dr koay

The day it happened there was a loud ringing sound but now there is a little but not that noticeable. Only the feeling of numbness/blocked.

I'm a bit tight this month in expenses. Also if my parent know I did such stupid things they will scold me.

if doesn't resolve in 3 days then doctor is next. i bet u duwan to regret if one of your ear turns deaf
if the nerve or hair cell is damaged then that will be permanent just like me

Been seeing ENT specialist since 2016. Reason for me to go to ENT is because my nephew hit me with his toys direct to my nose and it went bleeding non-stop. Went to ER at Assunta and got referred to ENT (Dr Saras) took an XRay and found out the reason bleed non-stop because of deviated septum.

I always have migraine and nose block issues and thought it’s just some normal sick didn’t know it’s because of my deviated septum causes all those sickness. Been follow up frequently about half a year and decided to have a procedure (Balloon Sinuplasty) for better air flow (able to claim company insursnce).

It was great until recently I have start facing nose block again, went back to my doctor and did some checks and found out I have another problem whereby allergy to dust which caused my chronic sinusitis always have tonsil infection, phlegm and fever. Undergo some treatment for my allergy it seems better, but still facing some nose block whenever I was about to sleep. Doctor suggest to have a sleep test to monitor my breathing during my sleeps and the result is very bad and severe. Did try out CPAP mask but I didn’t like it and I can’t sleep well with it, not sure if I’m not used to it or what and I sounds like Darth Vader during sleep lol. Spoke to Dr Sara’s what are other option, she suggest turbinate reduction whereby to burn of some tissues for better airway.

Just done the procedure last week, and went back follow up with her this morning. I can breath much better and the doctor is very generous. She even gave her mobile number so we can contact her at anytime if I’m not feeling well or have any questions. I even recommeded her to my friends which face sinus problems and he’s seeing her since.

Not sure if you agree with me but I highly recommend her. I forgot to mentioned she’s specialise is allergies too.

I went for initial consultation with Dr Koay Cheng Eng due to a blocked ear. He recommended I do an audio test which showed that my hearing was perfect. During the second consultation, he mentioned that I had deviated septum which was causing the blockage in my ear and suggested to do a minor surgery. More than a week after the surgery, I developed tinnitus in one of my ears. I woke up in the middle of the nights due to the ringing in my ear and couldn’t stop crying. The ringing lasts for 24 hours and I am unable to sleep well every night. I immediately went to see Dr Koay, who was unable to explain the reason for the tinnitus and couldn’t help me. I asked him why I had this ringing in my ear which was worse than a blocked ear. He said that this ringing would follow me forever and asked me to accept it. So I have been crying everyday as I cannot accept this condition and even gave up my job. I spent a lot of time and money to see other specialist doctors. They said that this was a nerve problem due to the operation. When considering to do an operation, please seek the opinion of few doctors first. I regret to do the surgery, but I cannot change this decision anymore.
