With the i7 processors already out on some machines, its really hard to tell when the MBPs would be updated. If I was in the market to buy one now, I would probably wait.
But then again, by the time the MBPs have i7 processors, the unibody MBPs would be "mid-cycle" and then you think you might wanna wait for the next major update. So its really up to you!

Waiting game is never ends, just purchase it before you seriously need it. I think i purchased my mbp few days before SL released, but i just dont mind about it because i need it.

well thanks but it certainly would be fking frustrating if the update is more than software based, if its software based then we can easily change it, but if it's like hardware jump.... power pc --> intel this 1 i think sure throw the mb from 9th floor

Wait for another redesign, then you will never buy any shit.

well, i never fancy the design since i have always preferred the older titanium-ish look. but well looking at this, i can hold off until early of nov to see if there is any refresh on the mbp line.
But of course, there's been a heavy speculation on refresh for mb, new look?

that is not an indicator for MBP,plus the new MBPs were just released last july? thats about 3 month++,it wont be that soon. Just be patientlah if you feel like waiting, with computer equipments changing on a frequent basis, what you have now would be considered outdated come nect month. Plus isnt dell changing specs every other week? how come no one complain about that? Its good enough that apple's product cycle for portables is roughly about 5-6months.

D= . 3 weeks + old mbp.. hope once its changed , this thing won't happen again IT simply means that "EFI" can't find a bootable OSX partition. Thats why you see a ? logo. It happens if your HDD is dead , you've formatted OSX , etc Its related to HDD by the way , you can still boot to another windows partition or osx partition on a USB stick or drive
