This is the 4th Version of the MacBook Pro/MacBook Thread. I hope you macbook users can get along and share the joy of your MacBook. Oh yes , did I say that it comes with new rules. I hope you guys can obey the rules

Basic Rules for This Thread

1. DO NOT SPAM
When I say do not spam. It means do not post useless '1 sen' posts such as 'Apple s**** , too expensive .. without being constructive. You can say Apple Sucks but please do provide your reason. For example

CODE
I think MacBook Pro is overpriced. This is because I could get a laptop with a similar specification for half the price. On top of that , there are some heat-releated issues that Apple should solve with their MacBook Pro series. Overall for me , I don't think its worth it. Its just my thought

2. BE POLITE

Please respect other members here and don't just start to flame. We should be thankful that the Administrators for giving this marvellous place

I hope you enjoy your new MacBook Pro/MacBook Thread

I'll add some useful application and list of URLs later for you all

My 15" year 2008 magbook pro (not unibody) started to have problem... sigh.
The keyboard and trackpad will hang after 2 hours usage. Could be due to the heat. Working in air-con room will be fine.
Anyone encounter this problem?

No, never use anything like that. Some people said it was due to logic board problem but I'm not really sure.
I can still use the bluetooth keyboard/mouse (if they're connected). Only the built in keyboard and trackpad have this problem. cry.gif

Instead of pure speculation by some people, aren't you better off sending it to a service provider for a checkup....?

Yup, just sent it there. Just asking if anyone have similar problem before. At least, I can know what I'm expecting later.
If really the logic board problem, then it's going to burn a big hole the pocket.

Hi last night i was using my macbook with my power adapter on like usual. Suddenly i realized that the end of the charger doesnt have the usual orange/green light anymore. I think it's a faulty adapter now. Anyone faced similar problems? What should i do?

ouch... it's really almost 300 bucks for a 60W power adaptor. I hope mine holds up.
Apparently a bulk of the problems happen at where the wire connects to the magnetic connector. I remember reading somewhere that apple have fixed this FOC in some cases. Are you sure yours failed right at the power adaptor itself and not the cable?
