You won't be able to claim warranty on it. It's going to be obvious from the stain marks that you had liquid on the machine. Unless, you have accidental insurance of some kind, you're pretty much on your own on this one.

QUOTE(mfitri77 @ Oct 7 2009, 04:52 PM) Skype won't really work. If you are taking bout restrictions on the internet, be grateful that we live here. There, the only known video call you are able to make is through live messenger. aiyar if that's the case use virtualization la bro, run windows with mac simultaneously, vmware or parallels.

I didn't know that Mac OS would take so much of RAM. I'm running SL on MBP 13' with 2.26 CPU and 2GB DDR3 ram. Today I was checking the activity monitor and found out that only ~150 MB of RAM is available. I was just running Firefox, iTunes, Adium and Tweetie. Firefox would take up to 100 MB. I should have upgrade the RAM when I order it. Now I'm in dilemma of upgrading the ram because I already have 1 GB x2 RAM. If I want to upgrade to 4 GB, I would need to remove both ram and what am I gonna do with that two unless I could trade in. Btw, SL doesn't have 3GB ram limit as Windows 32bits yeah? Just change over to Macbookpro and hardware wise it is indeed a good machine after years of DIY windows desktops etc. Though the changeover is adaptable but the extra Command key that makes life difficult to remember the commands and keyboard shortcuts. Worse of all is the 'service' (What's that) under every program's menu and at first thought it is some kind of shortcut etc etc but all the time it is 'dimmed' out and reading the 'Help' is no help. Automator suppose to be a Macro of some sort but why so complicated with workflow, applications etc. I just want it to record what I do once and then execute the macro when I want it to. Everytime, it trips up error messages. Sorry for the long rambling, just want to improve myself with help from all the Mac sifus to guide me to a few websites or ebooks where I can decipher the Mac way of doing things. Thank you in advance for any help.

Are you sure it's not the backlight turning off in the energy saver? This might be it.

I'm sorry if this thread already have. I'm going to buy a MBP 13" on November. Here are some questions: 1. I need to know if buying a MBP with SSD really worth it compare to HDD as the price to change it is rm1000+ 2. Would appreciate if someone could advise me what other accessories worth to buy with; such as vga converter and so on. 3. I also would using it as web development; How do i test my web on IE as the CSS problems is a headache; 4. and numerous of voice call using Yahoo Messenger but i wonder what headphone suit the 2in1 audio in/out on the MBP. Someone said we could use iphone earphone w/mic on MBP. Hope to get some answers soon. Thx

funny, stick a mic in front you mouth, how soft the volume you can speak?
mac's build in mic is noise cancelling, just speak normally, that will do
same thing, say you got mobile phone rite? will you still look for mic to talk with the phone?
unless you have distance issue, i reckon bluetooth headset, looks cool, wireless, speak within 10m radius
