I double checked Hotlink's e-statement =/ Doesn't state how many kb you use.. But I think 500mb is pretty hard to finish...

Then I should not doubt on getting the iPhone with my value plans 130 plan + iData 3 for contract of 1 year.
So now just sit back and wait for 31st to come.

the iValue plan the 333 minutes free does it mean Maxis-to-Maxis only?

The free minutes also include calls to any phones ie celcom, digi and even fixed landlines too.

You have that information in your bill because those are over and above what you subscribed too. For those who subscribe the RM99 package, U won't know how much you've used because there won't be indication on the bill. If U have indication like what teikwing's bill is therefore it only means U've exceeded your 3GB usage.

If U don't intend to use your i3GS for Internet Tethering purposes, perhaps U could even consider the iData 2 plan.

Yes, allowed. I asked the very same question at Maxis Centre Pavilion since I'm also going for iData2. You can upgrade anytime with no penalties. The charges for that month will be pro-rated. No changes to the contract.

In that case, I would recommend for those who's unsure of their data usage to take up iData 2 and upgrade to iData 3 at a later stage; no point paying for 3GB of data when you don't even use up 300MB, right?!

Also, I'm quite sure U aren't allowed to downgrade from iData 3 to iData 2, right?

@soonwai & tinkerbel : That is not the info i am getting,i asked during the curve roadshow, they say i can't change my plan during the initial 12 months, that includes upgrading my plan, eg from idata2 to idata3.

anyway, regarding my data usage bill, i think the amount stated what i've utilised for the month. coz if that's the amount that i've over-used, i don't see i'm being charged for the over-usage. the amount i've paid every single month is still fixed at RM5. weird.

I think best to do that to be sure.

The Curve Roadshow is run by an MEP (ie a Maxis dealer with a nice TLA) and dealers have sometimes given me wrong or incomplete information. eg: When I was asking about iValue Plans and VPF supp lines, Maxis dealer in Ampang Point told me calls are free between main & supp lines (just like VP+VPF). Later I found out from both Maxis Centre Pavilion & 123 that main-supp lines aren't free. The dealer also "forgot" to mention that there's no talk-time sharing.

I think from business point of view, it would make sense that they don't charge for an upgrade.

Downgrade definitely will have monetary consequences.

Tink, when you're on the line with 123, can you ask about penalties for downgrading?

hMm.. perhaps the information is given for those who purchased the smaller bundles. I'm on the RM99 plan and they don't give me the usage. All I see is GPRS Services under Value Added Service. Hmm.. maybe it's because our usage are like v super low so they rather not tell us cause they afraid we will downgrade plans?! Anyhow I've put in a request for my data usage - let's just see how long it'll take Maxis to give me that information.

Am sorry U got the wrong information but I sure hope this thread did help put things in the right perspective. I don't think Maxis will allow a downgrade because it's never been in their policy to offer downgrades but upgrades are usually permittable.

It's not possible that iData 3 will be cheaper as compared to iData 2 when U take the total value combined.

yeah. maybe mine was shown due to the fact that i'm on a 'limited' plan therefore they need to state my usage, in case i went over the limit. do update here once Maxis have responded to your request.
