Hey guys, i have never owned an iPhone before and i am wondering if i should wait for Maxis to sell the iPhone 4 or buy the iPhone 3GS from Maxis now since it is very cheap. Looking at my monthly usage, i can apply for iValue 3/4 and the price will be cheap. But i am just wondering, how much will Maxis offer the iPhone 4?

No one knows for sure but insider rumors had it that it will be in same price range as current 3sg 16/32gb. I know France are selling it within the same price range maybe with difference of few hundred buck (since Euro is low now). I think US have same price range as well. Few hundred bucks difference won't matter that much I guess for the tech toy you are going to get See how it goes for Aussia/HK/SG launch to have better idea within this week

if its user damage, then they'll just give you back the 'broken' one... that's why its 3-4 weeks. they send it out to claim, no one-to-one replacements.

um... I think you're being unreasonable, cos even when I claimed my Motorola charger, and my previous Sony Ericsson charger, I had to wait for them to repair it... in the mean-time, I got myself a spare. since we can now buy clone cables for less than RM30... why not?
just don't use clone USB adapters...

Okay, i will wait for the iPhone 4 release and see. Very excited

Added on July 26, 2010, 2:38 pmis the monthly fee shared for iValue 1,2,3,4? My mum is on Value Plus 50 and me and my sibling are supplementary under her Rm30. If i change to iValue 3 meaning it will be RM250 + RM50 + RM 30?

yes, you will be paying RM250 for your bill, RM50 (mum) RM30 for yours.

before that, you will need to bring her to the Maxis Centre, and upgrade yourself to a principal line. This is cos the RM250 is used solely for your name + phone number, cannot be supplementary line.
Also cos the contract will be you signing it, not your mum.
you both need to bring your MyKAD.

Would like to share with you all about the incident that happen to me yesterday:-

I has walk in to Maxis KLCC to ask for my USB cable warranty replacement. when i approach to their staff, they told me accesory only has 3 month warranty. I told them i has call your call center before i came and as well as from apple website,both side also inform me is 12 month..Then, their TEAM LEADER name by "NAGA", confirm wz me is 3 month, but he willing to settle with me by compensate RM60 to me and told me i can purchase from them at RM68. At first i thought ok laa, i wanna to make the things settle fast as i been waiting there for 1+hrs...Unfortunaly they dont have stock, so he ask me purchase from Machine and pass him the receipt. Fine, the i run to machine, but they selling at RM79, and the staff there also mentioned, i no need to buy, is under warranty. I am so angry, and run back to maxis, wait him another 30 min..i told him , everyone said is 12 month, only urside said 3 month..then he make a call, after that, he told me is 12 month, normal procedure, claim need to take 3-4 week..i straight away scew him, make me run here n there...and bocz of usb cable, i cant use my device for 1 month?? this is ridiculous right?? i even ask for manager, as i really fed up with this NAGA..as usual, they said all manager are on meeting now..last he wish to settle the full amount wz me...i been spend almost 3 hrs there....

MAXIS service level "0", product knowledge "0"!!!

write a formal complaint and report him.

its totally unacceptable for a Maxis staff to be uninformed about a product they've been carrying for 18 months...

even if you claimed an iPod or Mac power cable, you will need to wait for the replacement, and that's normal. 4 weeks is a little too long though.
