just got this,
![]() lazy to post the other remaining pic. just curious, it came with a cd, but it doesnt do any installation, other than mere manual + guide. though when i explore the cd, there is driver folder with .icm file. its suppose to be a color profile for the monitor. i add it to my color management (under Display Properties > Setting > Advanced > Color Management) but somehow my photoshop fail to understand it though. neway another thing, not sure if its new, but, u know every monitor has a button to open up menu for u to adjust the brightness n so on (the control panel)? this one doesnt has button, it has touch sensor (which kinda like ipod). though the switch button are the only button though. |

Oh! i didn't realise that they had finally replaced 2408wfp. (Which is a shame because i wanted to get a matching one for looks if the price dropped any lower)hard to say hows the effect as its my 1st non-tn panel monitor, unless u wan me to compare it with samsung TN panel monitor, i would say, the ultrasharp has better color, though it start up slower than the TN panel monitor (when u switch on the monitor) around twice the duration (around 2 seconds) RM 2k. refer this website. http://www1.ap.dell.com/my/en/business/mon...s=bsd&cs=mybsd1 Noticed that the panel type was IPS, which means that it should not suffer from the input lag you get from VA panels. I also noticed that it doesn't have stereo out in the specs for people planning to plug hdmi connectors into the monitor. If the picture quality is as good as (or better than) the 2408wfp, then grats! on a great buy! |

If the HDMI input is only optimized for video then it does not really matter to me since I will be using the DVI input for my PC anways and HDMI for my PS3.see the comments on the link below:- http://www.hardwarezone.com/ourvoice/blog/...-For-The-Season Btw has anyone else seen it on the market?? This monitor is still new and I can't find any reviews of it yet. Haha if this turns out to be good, I might considering replacing my P2350 with this. Design looks similar to the T240. Oh, and Samsung should really tell us what panels they use in their monitors instead of hiding them. Don't wanna pay so much just for some lousy Chi Mei panel. QUOTE(Kidicarus @ Aug 27 2009, 04:47 PM) Oh! i didn't realise that they had finally replaced 2408wfp. I also noticed that it doesn't have stereo out in the specs for people planning to plug hdmi connectors into the monitor. If the picture quality is as good as (or better than) the 2408wfp, then grats! on a great buy! Its hard to find anything between the price point of TN and IPS panels. VA/P-VA would fit in between but its so hard to actually find one here. Not many manufacturers produce them too. I still can't justify the cost of getting an IPS panel since I'm not using it for professional work. This post has been edited by raptor_cZn: Aug 27 2009, 09:22 PM |
