Angelo = 2434Pw, and it comes with HDMI connectivity

I have finally bought my LCD after much consideration. Thanks for all your previous feedback guys. By the way, these monitors were on my list in case you are wondering:
1) Dell S2209W
2) Dell S2309W
3) Samsung 2233SW
4) Samsung 2333SW
5) AOC 2434Pw
6) Acer H233H

I finally picked the AOC because of its price, design, features (touchie keys , tilt, swivel, height adjustment) and HDMI. The Acer is a fine choice, but it was 0.6" smaller

Numbers like the 60,000:1 DCR and 2ms GTG response time mean nothing to me. Why? I think DCR is annoying, and since different manufacturers test DCR under different conditions, this number can ONLY be compared to models from the SAME manufacturer. 2ms GTG response time would most probably equal to a typical 5ms for black-to-white response anyway.

The viewing angle is rather good imho, unless you're watching from the bottom (but who the heck who look from below ), at least its better than the current Dell I own.

I initially some trouble getting the unit set up, my ATI card just wasn't able to display 1920x1080 properly, it would show black bars on the top/bottom/left/right, fonts were blurry and the entire screen looks distorted I tried setting overscan to 0% without ticking the "force" option at first, no black bars but image quality is quite bad. Thankfully I was able to solve this issue by forcing overscan to 0% and resetting the resolution.

All I can say now is that this is really a worthy buy, great performance at great price

Added on August 3, 2009, 1:27 amOh ya, the unit has a grey back, not white. It was the last unit at Digital Bay, so I bought it immediately as I understand many many shops in Penang ady ran out of stock for this baby.

then get acer h233h or asus vh242h

what i am seeing now is the current market dont have good lcds above rm 749 the lcds which are above rm 749 dont have much difference

like P2370 only led and supergloss at rm 849
Dell S2409w RM 750 is not good too
Dell G2410 RM 899 no HDMI
I am really waiting for the LG 24 inches but they are not coming their waiting is killing me.

So currently Say you budget is RM 750 to 850 what LCD will you choose from the following ?

1. Samsung 2494hs RM 749
2. Asus VH242h RM 749
3. Acer P244w RM 780 to 870(old model and old spec with 2 HDMI)
4. HP W2338h Only 23inch RM 830
But its Picture Quality is Superb and HP monitors are top of the line

Any other models you recommend with HDMI at that price range? Dont recommend AOC 2434pw or Viewsonic vx2433wm or any Benqs or Current Dells.

just curious, it came with a cd, but it doesnt do any installation, other than mere manual + guide. though when i explore the cd, there is driver folder with .icm file. its suppose to be a color profile for the monitor. i add it to my color management (under Display Properties > Setting > Advanced > Color Management) but somehow my photoshop fail to understand it though.

neway another thing, not sure if its new, but, u know every monitor has a button to open up menu for u to adjust the brightness n so on (the control panel)? this one doesnt has button, it has touch sensor (which kinda like ipod).
though the switch button are the only button though.

Samsung will accept once your Samsung monitor has six or more dead pixel, but not sure about AOC.

I'm using AOC monitor, everything is OK. No dead pixel.

some shops still have stocks i believe, grab them while you still can

or Viewsonic VX2433WM as what the forummer here has recommended

i've seen vx2433wm but didnt see it perform in full HD

so i was wondering which one would be better in HD

There's a shop besides lyp selling aoc 2434pw, got 3 units only.
The price was 699, i almost take my wallet and pay it.
Then my gf ask them how long does the warranty cover, they said 1 year.
I freeze myself dunno what to do, told them recheck the warranty period.
WTH, still 1 year from them and manufacturer.
At last i just order dell st2410 with 5 years warranty covered, dont want so many trouble.... 
Anyway, aoc monitor not 3 years warranty meh???
