I'll just focus on squats and crunches then, hate cardio.

Planning to buy a workout bench soon. icon_idea.gif

charge n go -71kg, 16.5% BF
I have reached 16.5% BF today.

Weight is slightly below 73kg (drop a lil).
I think there is no point to lose muscle in order to reach 71kg.

So the next target is to go for even lower %BF at 71kg.

http://www.scientificpsychic.com/fitness/diet.html

I read from a book called "Burn the fats, feed the muscle". It suggests us to measure body fat content every week, so that we can adjust exercise and diet according to body response. 1 month is a bit long and daily is overkilling.

You can't trust the body fat/lean body mass measurement there. We're not caucasians, we're asians and we have a lot more body fat to muscle ratio than them. I plugged in my details and it says I have 8.5% body fat when I still have quite a bit of fat on my belly. I'm probably more to 13-14%.

Body Mass Index: 23.5 kg/m2
Waist-to-Height ratio: 0.50
Percent Body Fat: 18.7%
Lean Body Mass: 54.4 kg

that's what i get..
is it true if once i start to lose weight, then i will lose weight rapidly after that?

I want to buy a skinfold caliper, but there is no profesional here to measure for me. The only thing I can do is to use those not-so-accurate devices and methods.

The website is just a reference. My target BF% posted here is based on that. 2 weeks ago, I was 18.2%. Now, I am 16.5%. I have another kit to measure body fat. From 20.8% down to 19.2%.

I think this site is quite accurate. Based of calculations from the BMI taking into consideration race.

But it doesnt have any waist/neck/wrist measurements.
BMI is a screwed up indicator. A lot of body builders have high BMI, but their body fats % is very low.

Skinfold is still the best afaik.

Yup BMI/body fat calcs without measurements don't work for bodybuilders, they're special case. I mean, they're bodybuilders, they should know their lean body mass is not in proportion to the general population and thus not use such calculators. But for 95% of the other people out there, it should be fairly accurate.
